      I wrote this to answer a question but I thought I would introduce myself with it.  I also have a question. I was trying to start a group for some reason I did not see this one, but I wanted it to be like this site except I dont see any real accountability.  Am I missing something?  This is needed for weight maintenance and makes this all fun when you do it together.
      MY STORY
      I have tried bars but usually they are mostly fiber and you drink a bunch of water with them. They never help me but I am a hard case! On Adkins I lost only 5 lbs and the book said I needed to eat things like whole cream. I thought I just can’t take eating all that fat. Only a few diets ever worked for me. Mainly I starved myself and kept it off for years. i had rules if you eat out grilled chicken only low calorie dressing, no bread no cheese no butter no potato, yes to green beans (no bacon in them), no bread, lean grilled meat, vegs not the high carb, limited fruit because of the high sugar content. I gain weight with my last two kids and took it off. The first time with Weight Watchers but it was when they gave you meals to eat. I dont think they do that anymore. I cant remember how with the last. Then I start with the auto immune problems. I put on a bunch of weight and went to a weight doctor in CA. He did the pills thing and I did take it off but when I reached my goal weight it was back to starving again. Thinking about how long to the next meal.
      This time I am so excited about Take Shape for Life plan that I signed up to be a health coach. What is different is the meals (packets that make into pudding, soup, drinks, oatmeal,and i get to eat every three hours. Even when I cheated I still lost! I have NEVER be able to that on any diet and still lose. I will tell you I wish someone had clued me in on what tastes OK at first and what doesnt. You have to get use to the taste even of the good ones. Honestly it was the money commitment that made me stay on it and the fact I was way overweight. Now I love the meals and look forward to them. The tomato soup do not get, I have only found one person that liked it and the Chai tea which I love was not good at all. The chicken soup is good, love the oatmeal now and love the fact i get a chocolate fix with the drinks and the pudding. No more do I have to think about food all day and starve until the next meal. You get one reg meal a day and I look forward to that. You can break it down though to two meals. It is very simple and so you dont obsess about calories, points, etc. Also this is the first diet I can stay on the rest of my life.
      Oh you take the weight off quickly and still do not feel hungry. The only other thing I recommend is Calorie King. You track what you eat but their program makes it easy because it has fast food, restaurants, and just about everything in the market so it is way easier than tracking things yourself. On the program you can track nearly everything, calcium, fat, protein, salt, etc.
      Oh the other thing about Medifast Take Shape for Life program is that for some reason I fit into smaller pants than did before at each weight. The weight went off so fast I didn’t need to weight but a couple of times. I just went by pants size. I started before Thanksgiving because I thought if I go through the holidays I will gain even more. I cheated some at Christmas and now that I am almost at my goal I added foods but I think of it as cheating so it doesn’t get out of control. Oh, you MUST eat every three hours, I went to a meeting once and forgot a bar (very yummy) or a premixed shake and did not eat their food. But on the long drive home I stopped for gas and I was so hungry I ate an in and out burger and fries. I could not believe I ate the whole thing. I really don’t care for their burgers and never eat more than a couple of fries unless I am totally out of control.
