National Debt: $14,344,634,161,865 - Increased by $3,717,757,112,952 since Obama’s Inauguration!

      ...and that’s good because???????

No, it’s awful! Our govt needs to stop spending now!

What would happen if you went over your household budget like that? You’d lose your home!

What would happen if you went over your dept’s budget at work like that? You’d be out of a job.

Increasing a debt ceiling would only increase the debt! Does anyone in govt think this stuff through anymore???

        • There is nothing good about this....and the unemployment rate...nothing good about that either...

And yes...you increase the debt ceiling...you will have more debt.  Sort of like getting an increase your limit on your credit card....

The spending has to stop....the government jobs have to stop....and we (THE AMERICAN PEOPLE) need to put the people in office that are going to stop all of this....

You don’t make the economy better by increasing government jobs...the economy will only improve through the private sector...

        • and if I am not mistaken, people on unemployment are re-upping their unemployment benefits again and again..that the numbers are doubling...why not create jobs as Mary mentioned?  Would this be considered unconstitutional by today’s standards?  I might be stretching the truth, but again, clearly we are headed for the scrap heap as Americans if someone does not make some changes..and that lies in the government’s hands.

        • Marya..you are correct.  People on unemployment are having to renew their benefits because NO ONE IS HIRING.  And the hiring has to come from the private sector and the taxes and laws need to make it easier for the private sector to hire...PLUS...the healthcare bill has halted some of the hiring too.

But the national debt is out of control via our politicians...
