    • I got an email from this site called HerOrbit, telling me they’d like to sell my product on their website.

      [Link Removed]

The main thing that caught my attention was this-

"There are no individual item listing fees. Pay a one-time set-up fee of just $90. Every time your products are sold we keep 10% of the sale and $.99 per transaction. You pay when we perform."

I know etsy is fee-per-sale based. I have seen squat business from there.

Please give your opinion on this. Thanks!

        • Cindylou: First I never heard of the site but I am just too illiterate on cybernetic world.
Then I took a look, the pictures they posted there look great
Third, I search on Candles, there are ten or more pages
So my concern is if you post, will your product be up on front page and shuffle to the end?
I would also ask for statistics: how many buyers? are they also sellers?
It depends if you think this $90 will bring you your return on investment.
That’s my two cents of honesty & humble opinion.  Hope it helps.

        • I would determine what your marketing budget is and then decide if the cost is worth spending. $90 doesn’t sound like much but I would be concerned about the .99 fee along with the 10% fee. I’m not sure if this is standard with online markets.
So again I would go back to what your marketing budget is, output vs incoming.

        • My first question is, how do they get their site out there to potential buyers? Even if it’s sales based, that $90 setup fee could be their angle for profit. I’ve never heard of them.

If I was going to consider them I may go to their site and then contact some of their sellers directly and ask if their happy with the return of their investment.
