I’ve had a terrible week. Work has been incredibly stressful and I have had little time to eat, let alone eat well... and it’s been down hill from there. I need to stop and refocus because I need to start again...

I’m just a little disappointed because I was doing well up until now.

Oh well, time to start again. I think I’ll just take a few days to regroup as I’ll be away and then get back on track when I return....

        • Annie,
You are not alone.  This last week or so - I have been terrible!!!  I don’t know if it is the cooler weather or what.  But I also vow - to get back on track.  I HAVE TO!!!  I can feel the difference - the bloated feeling and more sluggish...  So let’s pick up each other!!!!

        • Annie,
I think you are on track. Sometimes we try to make changes too quickly. When we started on our health journey, I implemented one change at a time (else there would have been mutiny LOL). It may take you longer, but in the long run sticking with it is better than yo-yoing back and forth.

        • I was off today from work.  It rained most of the day...and it was a great day to just stay at home and do nothing in particular....and that is exactly what I did.  I did straighten up a bit around the house and I did cook dinner..but that is about it.  Maybe a load of laundry...I did  do a little scrapbooking.  But...my problem today was...I snacked way too much and I can feel it tonight.  I am going to have to be very good the rest of the week.

Tomorrow is another day....I’ll start over tomorrow.

        • Today is a new day!  The sun is shining - and I am eating my orange for breakfast.  Tonight - after work - I will go walking (about 2 1/2 miles).  I am determined and will not let the “bad food” win!

        • I just started a very interesting book that is on this subject.  “real food - What To Eat And Why” by Nina Planck

The book speaks about the nutritional and the health benefits that is derived from a healthly eating approach.  One tidbit I found interesting was that chicken skin is actually good for you.  It contains conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) which is an unusual fat that fights cancer and builds lean muscle.  It also boost immunity.  Very interesting....
