My dr. just started me on a new medication for my fibromyalgia. Savella, so far im really enjoying the advantatges. The only side effect that is really unenjoyable is nausea. But hey... ive had problems with it for months now, no biggie from where im sitting.
But compared to Lyrica, no more dizziness, swelling, or extreme lightheadness. Im all for that!!!

        • So glad to hear Savella is working for you.  I was very hesitant about Lyrica, so chose to avoid it...so far, the anti-inflammatory and a small dose of Lexapro seem to help me.happy

        • My 25 yr. old daughter has Fibro, as do many of my patients. I hope you will keep us updated as to how this new med. is working for you! My daughter currently takes Lyrica and she said she has every symptom you mentioned, but has been loathe to change, not being sure if the nausea would increase. Thank you SO MUCH for sharing your perspective. I wish you the best of health! Oh, may I also remind you that healthy eating, regular exercise (yoga or swimming in particular) and regular massage is WONDERFUL for those who suffer with fibromyalgia!  Be well friend!

        • So happy to hear you have a new med that is working for you.  Right now, I am not choosing to use any new medication.  I also have Lupus and Rheumetoid Arthritis, in addition to the fibro.  It scares me to take more meds!  I have a pretty high pain tolerance so I’m sticking with what I have now and hoping I can continue this route for a bit longer.

Keep us posted on how you are doing.  You are a help to us all with your information.

          Thank you,
