        • I think this is brilliant. It addresses the casual visitor, it removes the potential (for the most part) of stumbling across whatever someone might not be interested in, and I think it’s a fair compromise for all.

          Thank you!

        • Should make some happy I have some questions on what is determined Mature Content ??  Since we have a sex expert should he too be posting under mature content.. even though I thought everyone on the site was over 40 ?  So I dont understand the need of a Mature Content since we all agreed we were over 40 to join the site and some of the categories were Sex ?  And there is a Sex Expert ?

I think we all need a definition of what is considered Mature Content.. because I can see a seemingly innocent conversation turn mature and someone tattletale ?

          A list please ?

Im not saying its not a good idea, I just think since censorship has started, we should get a list of what is and is not acceptable.

        • Beachbum.. I want to see all your Blogs as I love them.

          So concerning the new button:
Im just puzzled of this new censorship..I again ask for definition of what is acceptable and what is not acceptable.. and it should come from the Site founders.. not the site interpretors or dictators.

        • Victor,
You are awesome. I knew you could make it happen; that was unbelievably quick!
You might consider taking off the “I am a big girl” part though. It sounds a bit like an insult to those who would prefer to filter. I personally haven’t been involved in all the hoopla so that is coming from a purely objective stand point.
I am very grateful you executed the changes so quickly. I am hoping, like Bobbi, that once you’ve had a day or so to come down of the adrenaline high from all the flurry of activity, the Fab40 team will develop a fleshed out definition of mature content. That would be helpful for those who want to filter, and those who need to flag... and for the developers and moderators in the long run because there will be less need to babysit (hopefully). Down the road, I would like to see degrees of ratings, X, R, P(profanity). I don’t necessarily want to filter them all out, but then again, I’d like to know it is x rated before opening it with one of my children reading over my shoulder.
Thanks again! Did I tell you I think you are awesome? I think there are a lot of us who would hug your neck if we could! :)

        • i hear you shopgirl.. I think that the button alone will not solve this problem.. that wasent a problem until someone complained that was over 40... so .. I am recomending that since there is a censorship button,, Under the button should be a list of what is considered adult content so not to offen the over 40 people on the site that may have many different definitions of sexual content.. some may be as little as the mention of the word sex.. so lets get a definition.. button alone will not solve the issue, which I never considered a problem.

        • I’m not sure why we have to protect people from themselves.  They can choose which shows to watch for content and what books to read for subject matter, but, they can’t choose which blogs/post to read without a tag reading “For mature audiences only“?

Something is not right here.  We‘re not talking about children.

          Just my opinion.

        • I’m locking this thread before it becomes a discussion whether we need this feature or not.

This a community for mature women, this is not kindergarten, everyone needs to grow up and behave accordingly.

Obviously not everyone handled this in a very mature way, therefore this feature was necessary.

I would really appreciate if everyone refrain from any kinds of post that strike unhealthy debates and provoke members to respond negatively.

          Thank you.
