I was re-organizing my bathroom the other day and I found an old boar’s hair brush. The bristles were very worn and it wasn’t very good as a hairbrush any more, but the wooden handle was still good, so I didn’t want to throw it out. I was cleaning off some wicker baskets that had been sitting on the shelves for a long time and had gotten quite dusty, when it occurred to me that a good use for the old hair brush would be for dusting off the baskets. I took them outside and the brush worked quite well at getting the dust out of all the grooves of the baskets.
That’s a great idea! I’ve gotten to where I don’t like to throw anything away if I can find another use for it.
I have a big collection of old toothbrushes ...... which I use for cleaning all kinds of things which are difficult normally.
I love them for window frames getting in the corners
Vicki, I’m like you, I have an old toothbrush box for cleaning grout and all kinds of things!
I also have a special one for hair dye. It dyes my eyebrows! lol Brush it on!
