        • How do you have the energy to do things if you do no-carb?  The times I’ve tried I end up with no energy at all.

I’m off to a bit of a slow start this morning.  It’s my day off and I’m in no hurry to get moving, but I’ve got to go do a cleaning job this afternoon, so I guess I better get my own stuff done this morning.

        • Good Morning!

I think I had enough carbs yesterday to make up for today! Normally I do a carb and protein together but I didn’t yesterday so I am foggy.....

        • I do no carb all the time... at least I try to. For me it gives me more energy and I have less migraines.

But wow Vikki, dinner sounded yummy!!

        • Hi Vikki,

I skips carbs such as bread, pasta, rice and potato, and just have veggies and protein now and then. The veggies and fruit do have carbohydrates, but they‘re light weight compared to what I usually count as a carb and I feel better going for the light stuff. ;oD

        • I’ve been doing Atkins for a little over 7 weeks, now...lost 27 pounds so far.  I had a very rough time the first 2-3 weeks with low energy but after sticking it out, i am “back to normal” now.  I’d have to say that the lack of energy has been the most difficult part of the Atkins program for me.  Next would be the initial 2 weeks with NO fruit.  After the first 2 weeks i could eat some fruit and i’m much better now.  I have learned how to get “treats” and stay within the guidelines of the atkins program...plan to stick with it indefinitely.

        • Vikki, I can relate to the foggy feeling.  I get that when I’ve had too much sugar in my diet for awhile.

Mary, glad you‘re back to yourself today!

Daphne, wow!  27 lbs. is awesome!

        • Well lets just say I overloaded on the pasta and bread with just a splash of lettuce on the side tongue out and then that cake. I am doing everything I can to NOT eat it for breakfast frown

Linda I did the Atkins a few times. And I did like the simplicity of it. I didn’t (and neither did my family) like my crankiness while on it. I thought the coffee and chocolate would be hard to give up. Pfffftttthhh! Easy compared to the bread and potatoes and pasta. Plus I was that person who had to cut down the carbs even more to get any action on the weight loss.

So the age old question.... Is what I want now worth giving up what I want later???? Ugh!
