I have said I was a “Recovering Catholic” my entire adult life! Not sure if the subject has been discussed here before (I have yet to peruse the group’s posts, sorry!) but I am happy that my upbringing brought me so many good things and fond memories. Angels, Mother Mary, tradition, respect for a life dedicated to the church, beautiful mass’s on holidays, the Stations of the Cross, Sunday school (I can’t spell Cathechism!), and so much more. The experience brought me to my deep involvement and daily life of practicing Spiritualism and a comittment to being a Student of Deliberate Creation, definitely outweighing all the Priest poop, the guilt and fearing God for years and years.   I look forward to participating in this group and making new friends!

        • Hey Kelly!
As a child I had no religion in my home at all. As I matured and had children I knew something was missing in my life. Through a string of events( which I am not going to go into now) I was led to the Catholic Church and baptized into this wonderful faith in March of 1991. I was 26 years old . I so truly believe in the church and “the priest poop” you speak of cannot weigh in nearly as much as all that the good that comes from this beautiful , spiritual religion. Mother Mary and my angels are part of my every day life as well as some of the saints. I am Blessed to have been brought to this amazing faith!
I look forwrad to getting to know you!
