There’s a buzz going around the web that Oprah died and it being kept under wraps.
Does anyone know if this is true?

Here are some links leading to this story.

I hope this is not true, but can not seem to find the truth. If the cops are keeping it under-wraps, we would still possibly know...

From what has been reported thus far, she appears to have a bloody area

          How sad if true.

        • I’m not saying she hasn’t given to this charity or that charity...but she wants everyone to know it...to get all the glory.  When I want to do something to help someone I don’t need anyone to know I did it.  I don’t need that pat on the back and for everyone to say...“oh that Mary Clark...isn’t she wonderful for what she did.“.

Plus......when her guests are on her show...she looks down to them...acts like they are darn lucky to be on her show.

I don’t like the people she supports (Obama...and others) and for very good reasons.  Like I said before...it’s about OPRAH.

I quit watching her show a very long time ago...and her magazine......it’s boring.  Plus I won’t support her.

Okay...I think I’ve said enough now.....

Victori....I suggest she start caring about other things than her neilson ratings....because I believe they are declining...

Cynthia....I wouldn’t doubt it  about her reputation on the island.....not at all.

I don’t watch her show or buy her magazine. She has had a big head for a while now, but I don’t want her dead. She is a great role modle for girls of all back grounds. She has done alot for herself considering her childhood. I do respect that about her.

        • I will agree...she has been successful, but to me once she achieved that success....her head exploded and she became a typical celebrity....all about ME.

The girls school in Africa....it’s a great thing...but..you know..we have children in this country that need help.  Her take on that is the children in this country are spoiled and won’t appreciate her help...and that might be true...but...there are still plenty that would.

Again...I do not wish her harm in anyway...but I can’t believe that this is true about her being dead.  It’s Sunday evening...it would have hit the breaking news way before now.

        • I will throw caution to the wind and say I think that Oprah should be applauded for all she has done. Why do we feel the rich and famous are responsible for putting the world right?  Yes,  I agree that she does shine the spot light on herself when she does something good but how come your not complaining about Bono or Elton John.  She does this to bring attention to the cause and thus allowing others to pitch in.  Are you convinced that she has done nothing for our children at home?  Has anyone checked?  I’m not an Oprah lover but I don’t believe that giving started with Oprah either.  What about the likes of Audrey Hepburn?   She even ran commercials to advertise her causes.  Is she also guilty of publicizing too much?  If you had Oprah’s money would you have the strength to keep doing what she is doing in the face of the criticism found on this blog...by women. Ok...she is not the nicest of neighbors....that can be explained away too.  Everyone on this blog can spit venom if the moment calls for it.  Every cat has its day.  And yes, even the rich and famous can be caught with their bad sides showing.  But, does that make her evil.  No, I think that makes her human.

Love is still the answer, I guess. But I don´t like Oprah´s work even though she has the merit for getting there.

        • I think this could easily get out of hand. The main topic here was about a rumor. I’m fairly sure Oprah’s death would make more than a rumor page.

It’s amazing how easily a conversation can heat up over something like this. She’s alive, rumors are ridiculous and we can all rest easy now. Whether you like her, dislike her or don’t really care is your own personal opinion.

Anyone that visible is going to have lovers and haters. Completely natural. State your opinion here and respect other’s right to opinion and we’ll have great debates and no bloodshed! :)

          Happy Monday!

Honestly, no matter what your opinion is about anybody, celebrity or not, it is your opinion and you are entitled to it.
          Now I’ll give you mine....
I think if we put half of the energy we put into talking and thinking negatively about other people into trying to get our own acts together, focus more on trying to find the good in people and helping them to cultivate it, we all would be much better off.
Come on!...How many of you can say that you actually know this woman personally!?

Come on ladies, get over it! Whatever your views are on Oprah....MOVE ON!
Really think about how silly it is... and the energy you took away from yourself.

          But then,...that’s only my opinion...

I thought this was a forum for empowering each other as women.

I have nothing against her and have supported her issues from time to time. In general and from the begining I never bought into Oprah as the “religious icon of daytime t.v.” she became. I think she has just run her course and now has to settle for being just another rich celeb.

        • I liked Oprah until she bought a home here on Maui. It’s on a really beautiful and quiet street. I used to walk my dog there every morning. But she purchased a bed and breakfast and then began tearing everything apart, putting huge and absolutely ugly tarps everywhere. I still walk past there a lot and it saddens me to see something destroyed like that after it’s been so picturesque for years. But what really soured me on her was when she tried to buy up all the land around there. Now, mind you, these ranches have been going for generations and there are some native plant species and such. She approached someone I know who owns a lot of land that borders hers. My friend told her no, the land is not for sale. Oprah did the, “don’t you know who I am” thing and my friend just said, “I guess you didn’t hear me. This land is my family land and it’s just not for sale.” But, then she wanted to cut a road, a private road, from down toward the ocean all the way up to her. Things on Maui just don’t work that way. I agree she has been wonderful with all her charity work but here she has caused some trouble for a home she only spends a couple of weekends a year in.
