WOW!ohhhhit just never cease to amaze me at how so many people in authoritive positions can pass the buck (*not doing their jobs, but making others do it)* and still get paid! Today at work our nurse who is in charge over all us Med-Techs calls us all into her office for a brief meeting only to tell us that she is deligating more of "HER" duties on us! Now mind you we're already doing all the med passes and the injections and treatements etc... WTH  is there left for her to do?

So today she gives us all these forms and other paper work explaining to us what we have to do when in fact it is her job to do these things, now don’t get me wrong I love my job I love what I do I just don’t like the people I work with because so many are so freakin’ lazy including those in upper manangement. So a few of the others had questions as well as I as to why we have to start doing all these things when infact it is her responsibility and of course she comes with the bull-sh**!

So again the buck get passed to us but she still gets paid for NOT doing her part of the job! We do all the phone calling to the doctors, the families, faxing reports to the doctors, making calls to the pharmacies and so much more, doing med orders it is so rediculous as to how she can sit and gossip all day and still get paid it just pees me to no end.

        • All this time I’ve known you and I didn’t know you were a med-tech!

I’m sorry you and your co workers are being given more than your fair share of the responsibility. I hope she doesn’t go and delegate things that are not within the scope of practice. She sounds burned out on her job - maybe it would be better for her and for everyone in the office for her to change careers at this point.

        • [Link Removed], hi my friend missing you. Hey I sent you out a letter today! Oh I haven’t been a Med-Tech the whole time its only been since December of 2010, I was promoted from a caregiver to a Med-Tech. To honest they all (upper management) need to change jobs because they are all lazy and do not so their share of the work in my opinion.

        • I am a registered nurse in Michigan. (retired) I know that things are delegated...but the things that you mention should not be. I think that perhaps she is taking advantage of you. I practiced in ICU for quite a few years. As RN’s we did everything. Even inputting orders for labs ect. When are the bosses ever going to get things right!! You and your co-workers seem like you are doing too much. They say patience is a virtue. So stay strong and virtuous!!

        • Hi Phoenix,
girrrrrrrl it’s going to take more than patience with these idiots I work with and for, it is so sad at how they just don’t seem to care not only for the employees, but also the residents get a raw deal, if it weren’t for us the real workers these people would be up a creek without a paddle.tongue out
