Ladies, I am VERY concerned. Recently I have been to some of the other blogs (mostly the ones that ask political questions) and there is a lot of name calling, and bashing of each other. Let’s hold all the women on this site up in prayer that we can agree to disagree but leave the nasty comments to ourselves. Someone has even been kicked off this site because someone complained about her opinions. Free speech anyone. We have the right to comment on or even not respond to topics on this site. Sisters lets get to prayin!!!!

        • It wasn’t for expressing an opinion. Fabulously40 is and has always been a place for women to feel comfortable, support, and cheer each other. This is not the place for name calling and insults.

        • Wow.  What an icebreaker I am getting to this site.  Well, I am sure it was just not her opinion that got her kicked off, she may have gotten rude.  I must say though, I have been avoiding the political blogs for just that reason.  That’s it!  The site members are down on my prayer list.

        • The political blog did get ‘nasty‘.  I unsubscribed to it after two responses that were tacky (to say the least)  people were ‘out of control‘!

        • Sadly, this illustrates the very reason I stay out of the political arena altogether.

The power of the spoken word is so blatantly abused in politics, it makes me sick.  Each side spends millions of dollars on television commercials to make us see what a complete ass/slut/idiot/bum their opponent is.

The focus should be this COUNTRY, her citizens (regardless of their color, religious beliefs or poverty level) and their well-being.  Politics as a collective has become an infectious disease that can do nothing but burn itself out over time, if we‘re lucky.

        • Yes, please pray for everyone on this site, especially during this election season...things can and will get heated.

As for any member that has left the site...please know that if they were warned or banned from the site...this decision was not made lightly AND it was not because of the opiniions that they expressed...it was more than likely for the treatment or comments that were directed toward other members.

A webite owner has the right to set rules of behavior on their web site in an effort to maintain a certain type of decorum and tone to what they have created and continues to develop.  Guidelines were set long ago by Yana that Fabulously40 would be a positive, passionate, uplifting and empowering environment.  The behavior by some was not meeting these criteria...some members were feeling attacked, so to maintain the integrity of the web site, I am sure it was addressed.  It is the responsibility of the web site owner to protect her membership...Yana has done just that and will continue to do so.

          Prayers are always needed.

        • I agree with Sewdiva and Shepherdess5.  I unsubscribed as well.  We need not just pray but respect each other.  We get enough of that from others and this should be a safe place for us to come together and communicate with character and integrity.

I love this site and thank you Yana for your vision.  We are here with you knowing this is a wonderful place that we need.  No bad apples in the beautiful bunch.

        • Politics has always been my least favorite topic—not because it’s not important or I am not well versed. It just seems to be so intensly personal for most people that it’s better for someone like me to step away. I saw the banter going on within one string of posts and it was not pretty. It is fine to have an opinion but opinions don’t include bashing someone because they HAVE one. No one should be that self-righteous in this fabulous group. There are other sites to be angry and rude on. This one is something special...I’m already such a huge fan after a short time.

Keep up the great work, Yana...and let’s enjoy each other’s opinions here. We shouldn’t be “afraid” to talk about politics or anything!

        • I agree with Godsglamour girl, we need to be the light but I also know that especially in the political area where there are such strong opinions once we’ve stated ours, there is no arguing: only praying, cuz when I can’t, he can
