I would really appreciate some prayers.I am living in a apartment that I can no longer afford because I am not working the same amount of hours and my monthly income has been impacted. Equally important is the fact that the landlord of the house where I live is negligent when it comes to maintenance issues that need tending to and has lied to me on a few occasions. If I stay on it will be a struggle to pay the rent on time in full, something I don’t want on an ongoing basis, yet I don’t have the money to move. I would appreciate any suggestions.

      Thanks

        • felic41, I feel your needs.  I have been through many roller coaster rides as far as finances are concerned.  All I can say keep looking up and trusting.  He is faithful and will carry you through this time.  We almost lost our house a couple of times, but God always carried us through and something always happened to turn the situation around.  God is Good and He will help you through this time.  I will be praying for you.

        • felic41 this is probably one of the biggest test of faith that you will experience. You must ask God for strength and patience as you go through this process. Lean on Him...not the Landlord! When God sees your obedience He will grant you what you need.

        • Hi All,

I would like to say a big thank you for those who prayed for my situation. Here is an update of the situation. Well, I had debated whether or not to give my notice Nov. 1, as I didn’t know where the situation stood with my landlord and his mortgage arrears with the bank. Well, I got a letter from the bank last monday outlining what the landlord owed and that he needs to pay the full outstanding balance on his mortgage by this thursday! This letter was a judgement on the property and if the landlord doesn’t pay up, the bank will proceed to obtain a Writ of Possession from the court that will entitle them to obtain vacant possession of the property. There are other issues of concern such as who will maintain and make any necessary repairs, since the landlord hasn’t done anything over the last few months.  The way I look at it and how I feel in my spirit, the inevitable decision is to move out of my apartment. There is just too much uncertainty.
