Hi, I’m new here and I hope to get to know everyone.  I just had to brag on my son and the man he has become.  He has always been a pretty good kid in school and such, not in trouble alot. When he was 15 he was with the wrong person at the wrong time and ended up arrested for possesion of marijuana.  He took all his punishment from his stepdad and I and from the court system like a man, finished all his community service early and was let off probation early.  At that point he started to change, mature I suppose.  Last October he came to me to tell me he and his girlfriend were pregnant.  My husband and I have done our best to be supportive of them both, my son was absolutely prepared to take on this responsibilty he said.  He had enough credits to finish high school early.  He has had a job steadily for the past 2 years. He also goes to every OB visit with his wife.  Last month he and his girlfriend turned 18, they had decided several months ago that they wanted to get married before the baby was born.  3 weeks after turning 18 I watched my baby get married.  9 days ago he and his wife moved into their own place.  I know it will be so hard on them both, working your butt off everyday for minimum wage and struggling to pay your bills is a hard way to start out life.  He seems to be totally committed to taking care of his child and wife, and thankfully he is still planning to go on to colleg, although it will take him much longer than he anticipated.  Next month he and his girlfriend will graduate high school, and in June they will become parents.  I think he has grown into a fine man, and I just wanted to tell everyone how proud I am of him.

      Thanks for listening,
      Angela
