      No one talked about it. Women suffered in silence. They quietly told their doctors (male for the most part) that they were having hot flashes, mood swings, crying a lot, upsetting the household and then they were given premrin.

      Yesterday I had brunch with a group of ladies ranging in age from mid 40’s to mid 60’s. Someone said something about hormones, another woman replied “what hormones?” with a laugh saying her hormones had all left and we were off and running with conversation and laughter about our “change” experiences. It was hysterical but at the same time we all helped each other regardless of what stage of the process we were in.

      I think the conversation started after a bottle or so of champagne which made the laughter even more fun.
