I didn't hit the pillow till 2am Saturday morning finishing off Alice's speech off and PowerPoint and then rehearsals. I'm an over anxious over achiever and so is my daughter.
So when the alarm went at 5.45am it seemed like I had only slept for second and then awake – Alice was up and showering and getting dressed – after 4 discarded outfits she is off and I'm running round taking the dog a walk and then off to have my hair done etc; back for the dog to make sure he had one more walk before I left him for the rest of the day.

I had then had 4 cups of tea no food.....

Then head off to Central London and as ever use the time to see someone for a quick coffee and catch up before going to the venue. I walk in at the end of the lunch break and grab two slices of marble cake.... As it's now 2pm and the last time I had eaten was 5pm the day before......

Alice does her speech and we stay on as there is another speech and a question and answer and networking so more coffee.....

We leave and Alice wants a "Happy Meal " so buys me a burger and fries – I scoffed the lot in seconds and then felt ill all the way home. I had ingestion all night and awoke at 2am to be sick.

The only plus was Alice was amazing and she has the magic she had them in the palm of her hand from the first critical 3 minutes. She had 300 harden retailers in the audience at her old college talking about her passion for fashion and retailing.

So what have I learned here – stop trying to be super woman flying everywhere as this sabotages your diet.
