How many of you use Social Media to help brand your business?

We use Facebook ([Link Removed] and have tried some other outlets as well.  We find it to be great for brand building, but not ideal for driving immediate sales.

What about everyone here? Do you use Social Media and if so, how has it panned out for you so far?

        • I use Social Media and it does really work. I have made friends as well as found clients through providing good content and information for people.

In addition, I really enjoy it. What people really need to remember is that it’s really about developing relationships, which may bring sales/leads but not necessarily. Your real goal should be to get to know people and position yourself as a trusted expert in your industry. Eventually, the rest will come.

          Hope this helps! estatic

        • I looked at your site and it’s great. In our age group we have so many new changes to deal with both physically and emotionally. It’s wonderful to have resources like yours.

        • I need to create a Facebook page for my business. With the summer slowdown in my business I’ll have the time to do it.

I also agree that it’s important to build relationships. It can be a turnoff to have someone join a networking site and immediately start with the sales pitches. That being said, there are some networking sites that are geared for selling products so cutting to the chase with the pitches and building relationships later are ok in those sites.

I like to buy from people I know. I buy products from the women here if it’s something I need or want. And I’ve enjoyed a very nice amount of business from the ladies of Fab40.

        • I use Facebook and I try to post links to my newest products each day if possible. It’s just a normal Facebook page. I looked into getting a Fan Page and thought it seemed a bit complicated.

Please friend me on Facebook and just say you are from Fab 40.

I also use Twitter but often forget to tweet about my products! I mainly tweet about recovery from alcoholism and try and help others as much as I can.

I have a blog too but am rubbish at keeping it updated.

I’ve definitely had more traffic to my Zazzle stores since starting to use social media but I know I need to do a lot more in the way of networking.  Apparently I should be spending 60% of my work time on promotion . . . . I really can´t say that I’m doing that as yet!
