  • Space Shuttle Atlantis... Sad to Watch the Last Launch

      Yesterday, I had to watch this launch. For years I’ve been ignoring them and thinking “what’s the big deal?” But yesterday, I felt different.  

      I remember watching the moon walk in my family’s family room on our black and white TV. We were so proud as a nation. This time, I watched in sorrow. To me, the last launch is a metaphor for the end of the US as a superpower.  

      Maybe I’m just being dramatic... I don’t know. But to me it was just another symbol that we are now on the decline. Very sad.
