I like bootcut or trouser.... why? cuz I’m a curvy kinda woman and they flatter me best. I would love to wear straight legs with some kickin high heels but then I wouldn’t look proprotinate (sp?)
I went to truejeans.com and they will help you find jeans that are right for you, however the ones they reccommend can be expensive. I did buy a pair they suggested and they fit great tho.

boot cut and midrise, although I didn’t ever think I would ‘convert‘. My girls love the hiphugger (not really low rise) and I always thought I could never adapt. It is almost impossible to find the ‘classic’ above the bellybutton kind anymore, so I gave in. I still don’t like the ones that ride down off your butt, but the midrise ones are so comfy.
straight-leg or taper, but I know this sounds wierd I dont like blue jeans unless Im going Country western dancing.
Hi Greeneyedlady.... I didn’t wear jeans very often so I understand your sentiment. I had a few nice jeans for a casual work or night out and a few at home‘work’ jeans. But now since I traded my day planner for a cookbook I find myself in jeans all the time.
I tried on a pair of my daughters hiphuggers.... whew was that funny! That leads to a conversation of what to wear under your jeans.

I can use any of them. I’m more concerned how they fit at the waist. I always have a hard time finding a pair of jeans and/or pants that fit right at the waist.
ohhhhhhhh, back in the day, i LOVED hip huggers! they were the best! lol but ive done past that stage! lol
Bootcut, as long as they‘re not too flared. Mid-rise...don’t want too much muffin hanging over the low rise or hip huggers. These seem to balance out my silhouette and accentuate the positive: long legs and a small-ish butt.
I’ve tried a 2 different styles of jeans from the Victoria’s Secret catalog that have the bun-lifter and tummy-smoothers built in. And they come in the long lengths....my inseam is a 35-ish. Seemed to work okay until the jeans got a little over-worn. I think these body shaper jeans, as with stretch jeans, lose their shape after a year or so. Anyway, I digress. I think you only asked about the cut & why. so there you go!

I like boot cut. Nothing too flared out in the leg. I’m also really loving the jeans I bought at Chico’s and the ones I bought at Coldwater Creek. They fit my middle aged spread!
Boot cut for me and mid-rise like a lot of you ladies. It is difficult for me as well to find waistlines that fit.
I love boot cut and the really large wide leg as well. I’m tall and I wear heels quite a bit, boot cut and wide leg look best on me (I hope!)
Do you ladies remember Dittos? They were so tight you could not wear panties with them. I lived in those during High School. Or were they just a West Coast thing?
Bootcut, midrise (like they say, just below the belly button). I posted on another thread about my new jeans I got at Lane Bryant (red 1). Fits the curvy (aka hippy with a booty) ladies. They fit so well and I actually looked a tiny bit thin in them!!! (or maybe it was that magic mirror I have!!)And they come in talls...yeah...so I can wear heels with them. I wore them to a party Sat night, and got so many compliments!
Robinesque, to the rescue. Go to zafu.com. You just plug in all your personal fits and misfits and they come up with a list of suggestions for your particular problem areas that can supposedly be fixed with the recommended jeans. They have bras, too. I have bought the bras they suggested and it’s all good!
LONG jeans, hip cut, flap pocket, slight flare or boot cut. Faves are usually found @ “The Buckle.”
I like bootcut and midrise...I remember Dittos you could buy them at Miller’s Outpost or the Gap.They had a a horseshoe shape across your booty..They did strangle you just a tad..
i seldom wear jeans or pants. i am a skirt or dress gal. when i do wear jeans they are a unisex type jean. one that either a guy or gal can wear. i find guy type jeans or pants fit my bottom more snuggley and have extra room for my stomach.
What a blast re reading all these posts!
