Tonight I worked the afternnon shift at my job, this is not the 1st time I’ve stayed over on this shift but it just pees me to no end at how this shift can get away with so much, our manager on duty did nothing to make them work. We on the other hand on my shift (1st or day shift) which ever you choose to call it work our asses off and it we don’t a lot is said as well as you may be called into the directors office WTH? Does anyone here feel slighted from their job?

        • Neicy I’m sorry it’s still not great for you there! I don’t have that kind of problem at my work but I can tell you that based on my work the important or urgent stuff usually happens before 5pm.
And while I do believe that standards and expectations should be consistent I know they can change with the amount of work needed done.
I’m just guessing that on 1st shift is when most of the action takes place and maybe that is why you feel the expectation is different???? You probably have to do more of the important care during the day vs evening??? Again I’m guessing based on what I seen when my mom was in a medical care place.

And if that’s not it then I’d be asking who the afternoon shift leader is sleeping with!

        • Hi Vikki, you‘re right, but I just dont get it there is still important things that need to get done before 5pm on their shift, but the managers just over look it all and then the next day want to add it to our work load on day shift. That sucks!tongue out
