Well, in the last few weeks I have totally dropped the ball on wellness and fitness. What is it about the holidays that makes it so tough??? I’m not at parties for 2 straight weeks! For me, it happens gradually. I drink a little less water. Then watch my food a little less. My exercise drops off completely. Before you know it, I’ve stopped everything.

Well, the good news about January 1 is it a time to start over. In fact, I try to view every month as a time to start over as well.

So, if you are interested, I will be back on sparkpeople with a gusto. The more people that join me there, the more we can motivate each other. I’ve learned that I get motivated by other people being motivated and visa versa.

... so please join me! We still have our fab40 team there at Fabbers Against Flab.

Go to www.sparkpeople.com to sign up or just come back if you have already been there.

      Happy New Year!!!
      Annie

        • Count me in!!  But for me...it won’t start until MOnday.  Mentally I’m not there as of tomorrow, Jan. 1st...plus we have so much food in my house from people bringing stuff by since my mother’s death MOnday.  I’m just not there for tomorrow....but I will be on Monday.  I will go back to work...and it will be easier for me to start over Monday.  But I’m getting back on the Do-Right Program!

        • I am with you as well, Annie! I once heard that change is like a pendulum that gradually swings from old to new. Congratulate yourself for the progress that you made prior to the holidays. even though I did not eat that horribly, I feel like I need to detox. For me, it is back on the wagon tomorrow. Good luck to everyone!

I’ve been able to hold my own, scale has moved up and back down; but I want to see it start dropping steadily.
Mary, you‘re in grief, and you need to be nice to yourself. Annie, I know it’s helped me to keep up my challenge with the exercise. Since I work at a desk all day, it really helps to do a set here and there, when I think of it or see an email from SparkPeople.com.
Come on, you Fabbers! Let’s do it!

        • Not today, because we still haven’t had Christmas at our house, but Monday I’m going to get back at it.  Since Thanksgiving I’ve put on most of the weight I took off last summer.  That’s so not a good thing, but now I know, I took it off once, I can take it off again, plus a bit more.

        • Deb....this may sound cold but I grieved a long time ago for my mother.  It was grace and mercy that set her free and I am so glad her nightmare is over.

I’m really okay...just extremely exhausted. I stayed all night with her Saturday and Sunday night and then worked almost all day Monday until I got the call that she was about to leave.  So tired is more of what I’m feeling but I’m really out of control...and I can’t let grief get the best of me.
When MOnday comes...I’m on it....do you hear me???  LOL  I’m going to be back on the train......and exercising is the goal!!

        • I am with you ladies.  I practice and compete in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (my last competition was mid-November), so I planned my “relax” time to happen at the holidays.  I enjoy the challenge of competing, but I know I need to balance the intensity with some Cheez-It time.

Now it’s time to tighten the focus!  And I am ready to get back in the game.  I am going to do a Kettel Bell/Clubbell workout today, followed by a Bikram Yoga class later this afternoon.
