I am a stay at home mom who also does childcare during the day. Although I love what I do and the kids bring me alot of joy I sometimes get lonely for adult interaction.
      Any suggestions?

        • This may be a good place for you to explore. There may even be a member in your area for friendship at some point.

My mom was a stay at home mom. I LOVED coming home to smell wonderful smells coming from the kitchen and just having her there.

I don’t have any children but my husband has a daughter with a 3 year old and I get to babysit a lot! Love that little pumpkin.

          Enjoy being here.

        • I have many idea’s for you since I am in a situation a bit like yours.  Although, I am not providing childcare, my 13 year old daughter is cyber schooling at home.  How about checking into a women’s group through your local church, starting a moms group to meet in the evening at a coffee shop or somewhere free, take a class at a local community college or a local church in the evening, start a book club or join an indoor pool or the YMCA?

I sympathize with you because I have been in a situation for six months in which I resigned from my beauty job, due to health issues.  I miss getting out of the house now and then to interact with adult females and to simply feel good about doing something that I enjoy.  This month, my daughter began
PA Cyber School and so I am home full-time. My best friend just moved out of state and now I feel extremely isolated.
I know God has a purpose for this season in each of our lives.  Have faith that God will open up the door of opportunities for friendship and let’s both start praying about this.

          Keep in touch!

          Dana
