I really must stop doing this as of yesterday.  Today I only texted in my car at the red lights instead of while driving.

It’s a really dangerous habit I created! Even though I think I’m the greatest driver while texting I’m sure others don’t think so.

This is my challenge.  I want to start setting this example for my 16 year old daughter who is not driving yet, however she does fuss at me for doing it too.

Nothing I have to say is this important (I can’t believe I said that...LOL)

        • I have to agree with your words....“nothing I have to say is this important“........texting while driving.  At least your aware.  We ride our bike a lot and it always annoy’s me and scares me when we pass a car and the driver is texting.  They are obiviously not paying attention.  On our last trip this one woman drifted over in our lane.  My husband honked and pulled up to her and gave her a really dirty look which is not like him.

Please don’t text and drive.  They have psa’s here in the Houston area about that.

        • I believe they should pass laws in all states of no texting while driving.  They showed a video of a bus driver in San Antonio texting while driving (they have camera’s installed above the driver) and low and behold.......he smashed into the car in front of him, he didn’t hit the brakes in time.  Plus some passengers where in wheelchairs.  He wasn’t paying attn. as the traffic slowed.  I’m sure he lost his job.  He should have.  He endangered many lives.

        • I can’t even walk and chew gum at the same time. I have never texted or talked on a cell phone while driving. Nothing is so important that it can’t wait a couple of minutes.
The most annoying thing in the world to me is for someone to be talking on their cell phone oblivious their surroundings.
I think they should ban talking, texting, reading, shaving and even picking the nose while driving.
If you have no concern for yourself, please have concern for the car in front, behind, or beside you. We would really like to make it home in one piece.
