      Good Morning!

What’s your plan for today? Were you in the middle of the twisters that touched down through the night?

        • I have friends in Kansas and was keeping them in my prayers. Is it just me or do the tornadoes seem to get worse each year????

        • We‘re north of the tornadoes.  And it’s finally raining.  Word is that we’ve gotten nearly an inch and a half.  That’s a lotta rain for our corner of the world!

I think the media makes more and more hype out of tornados every year.  The last couple years we’ve heard more because they’ve hit very populated areas.

        • I agree with Tulip about the media. We had an earthquake here several years ago and the way the media was covering it you’d think the whole state of Hawaii had just dropped in the ocean. They even covered a guy riding around in Honolulu on a bicycle “searching for something to eat.” Our cell phone service was all jammed up and my poor mother couldn’t get in touch with me. she was worried sick.

Not to minimize the true tragic weather events, though. I know tornadoes and hurricanes and such are very very frightening and cause much damage and loss of life. I just wish the media would give facts and not try to hype things up so the rest of the world knows what is really going on.

        • I got up on my soapbox and forgot to say what my plans were for the dayohhhh

You’ve probably already guessed it. I’m studying! I’m hoping to be finished with algebra this week - 2 weeks early. I’ll finish my unknown bacteria report by mid week - a week early. Then I can coast and put my time into studying for finals.

        • MaryA, sorry, no.  I’m going to try to be greedy and hog as much rain as I can.  LOL!   We’ve not had any moisture to speak of since about the end of July.  Things were looking pretty dire here as far as the wheat crop was concerned.  Got over 2” today, so we‘re well on our way to a decent spring!
