        • Good morning everyone.  You would think that a day off from school I would be able to relax a bit.  But no I have so many things to do today such a little time to get it all done.

        • Good morning ladies!  It’s rainy, dreary, and very foggy this morning so I’m being a bum this morning.  I’m still in my robe, nightgown, and haven’t even combed my hair!

UK girl - I did see that news about Prince William...I’m sure everyone is talking about that over there.

        • It is sad ladies and I’m sure she would be very proud and I’m glad Katie is older so can cope with the media circus and the Royal life unlike Diana who was just 19 when she was engaged bless her.

It is actually just the tonic this country needs but having said that the year his parents (Diana & Charles) got married we were in a bad recession and had really bad rioting across the UK - hope history doesn’t repeat itself

        • annie I think your right about the clashing - plus the UK makes a lot of money from tourists and the royal pageants- I have to say there is no one who does this better and it’s something I’m very proud of I love seeing all our heritage out on display and the queen in her robes etc and the horses and carriages

        • Good afternoon ladies.  It’s been a strange day here.  I had to scrape ice(not frost, solid ice) off the windows this morning and when I left work it was so warm I didn’t need my coat.

Don’t even want to think about the holidays being around the corner.  I love decorating and baking but by the time it’s all done, I’m just exhausted. The holidays make work chaotic too.

        • Well...I’ve been doing things I probably shouldn’t do but I did it.  I cleaned my silver service this morning....it looks so nice and clean for Thanksgiving now.  That wasn’t bad for me to do.  Then I started doing laundry....then I vacuumed with my little sweeper...(not the big vacuum cleaner)...wiped my kitchen counters down good....and just put things away that those men of mine drag out.  I will say one incision out of 6 is not feeling quite as good tonight...so I may have overdone it.  I really have felt great...no pain so I have to remind myself that I have a lot of rearranging inside.... and a lot of stitches inside.  I took it easy this afternoon.

I’m excited about the royal wedding too.  I like Kate.....she is very pretty and like someone else said...she is older and hopefully will be able to handle the press.

        • Ok, Mary, this is an order (a gentle and loving one) Stop! Sit! Rest!

          Ok, that’s done.

I heard about the royal wedding too. I’m looking forward to seeing it on television. Princess Diana was soooo lovely. She’ll be there in spirit.

We‘re on pins and needles over here. And walking on egg shells. SHE is supposed to go into rehab tomorrow - after her dad took total control of the situation. It looked like she was going to park herself on the couch and just stay there again like before. He called the rehab place and got all the arrangements made. Now we wait to see if her highness actually goes. I truly didn’t sign up for this.

I’ve been reading blogs on Sparkpeople and joined a Girl’s running group. I think I’m actually going to do the Galloway training method for a half marathon. I’ll keep you posted.

        • Cynthia...who is SHE?
          I’ve missed something...

I went back to Sparkpeople today.  I posted about my surgery on the message board and had a girl to friend me to follow my progress.  I like Sparkpeople’s weight tracker....so I’m using that to keep up with my weight loss and to stay focused.

Vikki....are you considering going back to Sparkpeople because you are the team leader...LOL....

        • Hey now! I’m not the only team leader over there.... I was lonely!!!!!

And YES MC you need to sit and follow orders!!!! I know that may be hard for you but you worked so hard for this surgery. Don’t do anything that will jeopardize your recovery.

Cynthia I am sending up a prayer for you!

Vicki what kind of participation do the locals do when there is a royal wedding? Can we all come crash with you so we can attend?

Say if anyone is going back over to Sparkpeople - I’m committing to be there every day to read blogs in my runners group, log in my fitness, spin the wheel and read articles.

And a half marathon—WOW!—I am in awe.  Good luck with that.  You are an inspiration.

Annie..you were a team leader too weren’t you?

Well...I’m back over there!  Sparkpeople has a great weight tracker and it’s just a good motivator...keeps you focused.  And just because I’ve had this weight loss surgery doesn’t mean I will not have to still do my part...watch what I eat....exercise....and stay focused on being healthy.  So...I’m back!!happy

        • Okay as to the Royal Wedding normally we all get a day off and people do get in to the spirit.

Obviously there is wall to wall TV coverage and people organise street or village parties outside or at a local hall depending on the weather.
It causes a big surge in tourism and lots of memorabilia as you can imagine from tea towels to mugs etc.

The last big one was Andrew and Fergie and I was pregnant with Alice and that was mid week but Princess Diana I was in France and we had a party on the beach and back home my parents had a huge house party.
