Our family has several members who have served and others who are currently serving our country. We understand the personal sacrifices that are endured for everyone.Your service is appreciated and hasn’t gone unnoticed. Thanks for defending our country and helping keep our freedoms and rights.
With enduring gratitude,
Lorilyn and family :)
Loriyn,
Thank you for posting this and for your family serving our country.
We have the freedoms we have because of much blood shed.
May God protect our soldiers and your family.
Lorilyn I currently have a nephew in the army and we‘re so proud of him. Our military and the families waiting for them at home all give selflessly to maintain the freedoms so many of us just take for granted.
Thank you for your post on this very special day.

I’m dedicating Veteran’s Day to my late father, a WWII & Korean War veteran (U.S. Navy, Seabee). My Dad had a picture of his unit with a sign posted “The Marines walked in on the roads the Seabees built“. The U.S.N. Seabees built the roads and airstrips for the infantry and the pilots. I’m also dedicating Veteran’s Day to my two younger brothers (both U.S. Army vets) and to my husband, a Gulf War vet (U.S. Airforce).
My hat is off to all veterans and every man and woman that puts on a uniform and keeps our country safe. They stand watch all day and all through the night. Thank you for your service to our country, the U.S.A., the greatest country on this Blue Planet.
There really should be more taught about what this day is about. The teacher I work for/with has put great effort into teaching the class all about it and had them write letters to a local Vet hospital. They did a great job and have a really good understanding of what a Veteran is. Even i learned a few things from his daily lessons.
My daughter is still in boot camp, but we’ve already been praying for her safety.
Thanks for your words of encouragement for our family :)
Lori
My son has enlisted in the Army and will be leaving for boot camp on January 6, 2009 and I know that I will be needing alot of help dealing with his departure. My husband and I are very proud of him for enlisting and will be praying for him and all the others. Please keep our family in your prayers. Thanks and God Bless us all.
My husband is Retired US NaVY 24 years, he just retired this past January.
I was recently in the Dallas/Ft Worth Airport on my way home from going to Texas for my Uncles Funeral, and ran into a huge group of Women and Men in military uniform. They all were sitting around waiting for their flight out. I stopped and talked to many of them. Asked them where they were headed, and was met with MUCH RESPECT, they all told me they were headed to Kuwait.
I told them all that I appreciated them, and wished them Gods blessings, and that he will watch over them all. They ALL got up, when it was time for me to go, came over and shook my hand and told me Thank you for taking time to talk to them. They appreciated it so much.
it made my day, to see such PROUD AMERICANS ready to fight for freedom.
