I worked tonight, feeling awful about my dad’s grandson, so i just put myself to work. I’m making a basket for Brock’s mom and his grandma/my dad’s wife. Figure that’s nicer than flowers.

My dad’s grandson was killed in a motorcycle accident today, age 18. My dad and his wife practically raised him.

I had a really good day but pulled my back out this afternoon lifting feed bags into my truck and taking them into the house. Ouch. Please, dear Lord, don’t let it stay out next weekend for my son’s wedding. I don’t want to look like a rickety old lady going down the aisle!

Well, Suzie (dad’s wife) loves my stuff, and really loves honeysuckle, so i am making each of the ladies a basket.
Mark was off today, so i bought some seafood and corn and we feasted. He’ll end up working almost all day tomorrow.

My grandparents were soooo patriotic, when they built their home, they gave it the address 1776. They had a flagpole out front, the kind you raise and lower every day. it was cool.

Not for us. No invites. Phil is training his dogs in the morning. I want to work on another dress for Jassie. I bought the cutest fabric the other day. Pink DORA fabric!
Im going camping, and watching fireworks from our boat at the lake.
The dog is all freaked out by the fireworks 8tonight!*
That is the one thing I hate about the 4th-every redneck with a lighter thinks it’s his God-given right to shoot off fireworks at any hour for the next 10 days.

The neighbors are setting off fireworks up the road. I can hear them. They do this every holiday even in the winter. :)
Cindylou, thats how it is in our neighborhood too, fireworks night after night, my dog hates it too.

In Indiana where I used to live, good friends of ours live on a big dip in land the locals call the “bowl.” They usually stay home every 4th to make sure their roof does not catch fire, there are so many people setting of fireworks!
