      Good Morning!

I hope you are feeling great this morning. I am! I spent good quality time with my husband. No margueritas but time well spent none the less. He is going back to Memphis today so it made me wonder....
Should I have him do some of the things I need done or just let him relax?

I could let him relax and either hire a handy man or try to figure out how to do myself.
Do I really need him to put in the exhaust fan/light in the bathroom? Or climb on the really tall ladder to clean out some leaves?

When I worked full time the weekends were always used to catch up on house/yard work that I didn’t do during the week. I would be in my scrubby clothes and everything got scrubbed inside on Saturday. Depending on the weather the yard work would get done on Sundays.

Now that I don’t work all the cleaning and most of the yard work gets done thru out the week. I am trying to teach myself to pace things. So I don’t really need my husband to do anything come the weekends.

Now here is where I could take this conversation in a few directions but I will stick with work vs relax.

Today we will relax. I will figure out the other stuff needing done. So bring on NASCAR and of course more NFL draft picks.

What will you be doing? Relaxing or Working?

        • Well as for me, I will be doing some grocery shopping here in a little bit. Then I will be fixing my husband some lunch before he has to go work today, yes I know it’s sunday he told me last night he had to work and with the ways things are(economy wise),he told his boss “yes” (he told me, he needs the hrs.). He’s a truck driver for the oil fields..he delivers tank for the oil rigs but the good thing about the job is that it’s only around the surrounding areas so he’s home every night.
He asked me if I wanted to tag along, it’s only going to be for a few hrs, so I might take him up on the offer.. Just to get out of the house for a bit, since Alex is doing ALOT better, I thought maybe it will be ok. And after we do that, we will go out and do our daily sunday ritual which is our sunday drive around town. We also go and visit my mom and with the way the weather has been here, it will be a nice drive..
I really do need to get some gardening done as well, but I’ve been holding off. And some major spring cleaning in about a 3 1/2 weeks or so my niece will be coming in from Austin and she always stays with me so I got to get started on things..She’s coming in for her cousin(my nephew),that will be graduating at the end of May. Can’t wait to see her, last time I saw her was last yr when my youngest Josh graduated.
So I think that today I’m going to just RELAX and enjoy the day and start early tomorrow with ALL the things around the house that need to get done.

So I hope everybody has a GREAT SUNDAY and enjoys it..

        • Enjoy the time with your husband!

Both those things you mentioned, you can very well learn to do yourself.  Both are quite easy.

I do a little of both on weekends.  Sundays I don’t work outside the home.  I refuse to work at any job on Sunday.  I do try to get a lot done around the house on the weekends.  Since I’ve hardly been working lately, the weekend just blends in with the dull weekdays.

        • LOL! Tulip I know what you mean. Since I don’t work outside the house it all blends for me.
I know I could do those things but myself but I like watching my husband when he works. He’s so cute and sexy!

Gilda Marie that sounds so nice. I would take your husband up on his offer and ride with him. Spend some good quality alone time together....... I like that!

          happy

        • A little bit of both.  Beginning my new business venture, I have to do both things.  So...as long as I am productive all is well.

        • Morning family time.  As the day goes along well whatever happens, it’s kinda laid back.   Saturdays though are work days around the house, laundry, yard, etc.

Hope everyone has a great Sunday!

        • My weekends are mostly spent running errands and helping my sister out with whatever she has going on. My husband usually works every Saturday, so Sunday is our day to spend time together.

        • Weekends are for both... catching up on dumb stuff ya gotta do and relaxing... BUT sometimes it’s nice just to relax... and save it for the next free weekend...

So... I guess I didn’t answer your question.. did I?

If it’s not urgent.. have some fun and hit him with the “To Do List” next time

        • Since I have a day job, I have to do a lot of errands and work my second job (I write romance novels) on weekends and at night after I get home from the day job. I try to have some fun for a few hours and get some walking in.

I dream of the day I can just write and work from home and not feel guilty if I take a weekend off from working/writing.

        • Yep. I have more than 40 novels published. The most recent one released at Ellora’s Cave this past Wednesday. It’s a vampire romance called “Truth, Justice, and the Vampire Way. I have another romance releasing at Total-E-Bound.com on May 11th.

I did two edits yesterday for books coming out later this summer, also at Total-E-Bound. I’m about ready to send a book to my editor tonight.

          Writing keeps me busy. :)
