One day you are married, the next day you sign a pager and you are single again.  That can be scary, as you know.  Suddenly you feel very venerable, that is natural, but
Sooner or later, you will want to get back in the dating scene (if you have not already done so). Here are a few pointers on how to be safe on that first date. It does not matter is you meet this guy on line or at the grocery store:
      1. Never give out personal identification information such as your date of birth, where you live or where you work. Beware of the guy who pushes for that type if information.
      2. Select a location for the date that your feel safe in.
      3. Provide your own transportation and never get in to a vehicle with this guy until you really know him.
      4. Tell a friend or family member of the date, location, time and who you are going to meet. Ask them to call you about one hour into the date.
      5. You and only you control your drink. If you have to get it at the bar..YOU get it and YOU get refills. This greatly reduces the risk of date rape.
      6. Get a pre-date background check. The truth is that, with one click of your mouse you could meet the love of your life or a sexual predator.
      7.  Trust your “gut”  if it just doesn’t feel right, excuse yourself, get in your car, and meet up with some girlfriends.

It can be fun go get back in to dating, if you are careful.
I look forward to your comments and will be glad to answer any questions or assist the members of this group in any way.
