Something I’ve noticed in the last few weeks is because I have been home more I have a tendency to pick up something from the kitchen even when I’m not hungry.  Its not that I’m bored because I have a lot of cool things I am working on.  It is more because it is there, and I have more down time, thus an increase in opportunity.

Here are 2 things I’ve tried.  1) I bought already prepared fresh fruit bites from the store (fresh pineapple is my favorite because it gives me that splash and zing) and whenever I head into the kitchen to grab something, I have toothpicks right there and choose a bite of fruit instead.
The key is you have to leave it out where you can see it or you will forget.  You can put it away periodically to get it cool, or put it on ice.  Wow, how special is that, kind of like champagne, only different estatic

This also helps me get my fruits in for the day.  Otherwise I am not good at getting the right stuff in my diet.  You can do the same thing with veggies, whatever you need more of in your diet at that moment - and that does not include the most important food group - chocolate!

This is getting too long - check out "Tips to Decrease Snacking, Grazing, etc." #2
