        • Geezo, where’ve I been?  I’m in week #3 of my WW group here at home in rainy So Cal. I’ve lost 8.6 lbs and my spouse has lost 11!  Can I come and play with you guys too!?!

        • Yesterday.....was a little better.  Still have to make some changes.
          I go with hubby to his first cardiologist appt. today and hopefully this trip will open up my eyes and force me to make some additional changes..such as exercise.  

          Hope everyone has great success in achieving their daily goals today!!

          Exercise, drink more water, make good choices.....your life depends on it!!!

        • Sorry to say my report isn’t good.  I GAINED 2.6 pounds at weigh-in yesterday!!! I was a little shocked.

          Buy hey, this is a new day, a new week and the weather is getting better so I’ll just have to kick up the exercise!  I’ve been doing 25 min/1.5 miles 3X a week but looks like I need to do more.  Keeping my journal is another goal for the week.  

          I need encouragement!!!——Is that cheering I hear???

        • I have been at trade shows the last three days and didn't once gorge or even touch all the pastries / sweets / chocolates on the stands or eat the rubbish sandwiches - I took a salad ....so not me and I've still done my walk run round the park in the driving freezing rain ..

          The other nice boost was I saw people I hadn't seen in 6/12 months who all  commented that I looked well - plus joy of joys I fitted into a dress I have only worn once and cost me a fortune - when I bought it I thought I would drop a few pounds to fit into it ... instead added a few and hid it at the back of the wardrobe due to the fact it was such an expensive purchase ...

        • Doing well so far . Things are fitting better and I wore a skirt I could not fit into last year! Love it . Thats what is keeping me motivated along with our check ins .

        • I don't know if this will help anyone else but I brought a rail home from work and I have now divided it into weeks and I have one item per week to aim for – fit wise – I know sometimes the pounds will not drop off so quickly but I will be able to boost myself by fitting into something new...

          The biggest thing I have done is I've stopped wearing baggy elasticised tracksuit bottoms and I'm now wearing fitted clothes as I know big pants are a girls ruin – although they are comfy ..

          I’ve been thinking of a new game plan.  I have a friend that insists I try the Atkins diet. Anyone had any experience (good or bad) with it??

        • Atkins does work but the pain before hand of the headache no energy and the bad  breath  .... plus the minute you leave the diet or have say a carb meal like pasta bam the weight piles on ...

          its the headaches and just lack of energy which makes me rush to the bread bin and eat like a pig ..

        • I tried the atkins diet too. I was a complete and total bi*** while on it. I lost 12 lbs in 2 weeks and then another 20 in the following monthes.
          I am a carb addict... and it was like taking cigerettes away.  

          Of course I gained it all back.....

        • Okay, well I’ve told you all I’ve been married a zillion times so I guess I’ll have to fess up on the weight.  I was active duty USAF for over 20 years and had to starve to keep my weigh within standards. After retiring in 2005, I went from 140 to 201. Ugh.  So 200 was my start weight and my goal is 145 (I should be about a 10/12 then). I THOUGHT I looked okay in the mirror with my size 16, but I had NEW professional photos taken and they took my breath away. OMG. Thanks for the vent, doctor.  I’m ashamed but I LOVE Weight Watchers—it really works for me and my jeans are baggy today. It really DOES work!  love you, kelly

        • The Atkins was bad for my cholesterol...REAL BAD...and anytime I do low carb-high protein...it just makes me sick.  No other way to put it.  I get headaches.....just feel bad all over.  

          Weight Watchers is the best....I think for me...it’s too many dang choices...LOL.  Oh I dont know...that’s just another excuse.  

          The cardiologist visit today was an eye opener.  Hubby has to lose a bunch of weight...and so do I...and we have to go on a low fat/low carb diet.  

          So what in the heck do we eat?
          Plus beef up (sorry..no pun intended) the exercise.

          I did drink more water than I did yesterday...and I did do some exercise.  I found a walking exercise video on Exercise TV on Comcast on  Demand this afternoon.  It looked do-able.  Going to try it later on.  

          Good job to all those who have lost or their clothes fit better.  WAY TO GO!!!  KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!
