Let’s encourage one another! I haven’t dug out the tape measure so I can’t report in. I’d love to hear how everybody else is doing - successes - struggles - how can we support you?
I still need someone hounding me about exercise... and adequate water intake. Accountability is very helpful to me (as I am a card carrying ‘people pleaser’ personality.)

        • Well, How are you?  Sorry I could not be a part of the call. My hubby took ill on Sunday and well, Men!  He ranted and raved and just went on and on, finally by Tuesday afternoon, I halled his butt to the Doctor office, and well then to the ER, only to have him placed on antibiotics.  Had he listened to me in the first place!  LOL Anyhoo...my progress is....after all that drama I was tired yes, but at about 4pm yesterday, I decided to go to the gym I work out of and take for the first time a Spinning/Cycling class. I was so intimidated (me nah..) yes I was. But I did it, and now I am hooked. It was challenging at first but what I did was use The Dietribe from Lifetime channel as motivation, and kept thinking about my BUTT!  To boot, I was teaching my Zumba class after.  Whew what a workout. oh I forgot to mention early Tuesday morning before going to the DR office, while my hubby was in bed,I snuck out and took a Pilates class, another class I had never done. Now tonight I am training in the city with Fit TV’s Sarina Jain, she is on our Time Warner Cable FitTv.

So, Lemme “hound ya” on exercise. Just find something that motivates you. For me it was the show I mentioned “dietribe” I figured, if they can do it, I can. I usually used the excuse, Im an instructor I work out enough. Girl it’s never enough no matter what we do whether in the house, the yard whateva, we as women have have a harder job. Take my hubby for instance he gets sick, he’s in bed all day, I get sick, Im still moving around doing stuff, half dead, but still doing. Another motivator...I also have this cute bathing suit I just bought and I also created a Vision Quest, and on it I place a “reinvent myself” photo of a tall slender and sleek woman, sorta what I used to look like in my late 20’s early 30’s.  Believe me, I am holding some junk in my trunk too! As far as water, well, that is really a personal thing. Try getting those Propel packets or Lipton packets and use half the content so it’s more water than anything. Well I went on enough.  I am measuring up on Tuesday next week before our call.  But I can tell you, that I am getting lots of remarks about me looking thinner.  Be safe

Looking forward to updates, and tomorrow night’s call.
I have been unconventionally exercising (doing farm work) daily... and I can tell a difference.
I need to hunt up our measuring tape myself because I had to give my daughter a brand new pair of size 6 jeans that were too big in the waist. woohoo! (that is in part because I have a big butt though.) tongue out

Okay girls - Heather, Linni, Darla - are ya’ll going to make it on the call?

        • Linni,
Contrary to popular belief, eating at night isn’t a bad thing - WHAT you eat can be though. Always think - is this low glycemic? Is it going to make my insulin level spike? We all know what the high glycemic foods are (even if we don’t know what glycemic is!) Processed flour based foods, white rice, potatoes, high sugar items...and fruit juices.
All fruits are in the low to medium range except melons which are high. The juice is all sugar, no fiber, so it isn’t much better than drinking sweet tea although fruit sugar isn’t quite as bad for you. Both cause your blood sugar to spike, which in turn causes your body to store fat - regardless of caloric intake. When your sugar is up, your body’s sole focus is to try and bring it down (via insulin) and so it takes the ‘easy’ route and stores it as fat instead of processing it properly. In our sugar filled world, it is little wonder that diabetes is at epedimic levels.
Don’t beat yourself up for eating emotionally. 1)Make healthier choices when you eat... and 2)eventually replace the comfort that eating brings with a different comfort habit that will move you closer to your goal. It is ALL about retraining your brain when it comes to emotional eating. Begin to recite to yourself “nothing tastes as good a thin feels” a gazillion times per day. Make it a point to say it before each meal, when you get dressed, when you brush your teeth, when you crank the car.... eventually you won’t need to say it all day, but it will come back to be your conscience for you when you need it to! :)
You are never a failure - unless you quit! That is another very good thing to recite to yourself. “I only fail if I quit. I am not a quitter.”
Hope you can make it on the call tonight!

        • Well, I am the happy woman this fine Monday morning.  Got a good grade on my final, 92 so I have not broken the 90’s streak I have been having with that class, praying for the “A“.  On another note...I measured up today and managed since my very first post, have lost (drum roll please)  5 pounds, and a total of 5 1/4 inches. So my starting weight was 163 now I am 158.  It took almost 2 months, the first month I lost 3 or so inches total. That was 20 days on Osolean. Now that I have been on Osolean since January and have dedicated myself to changing my eating habits and committed myself to more working out in addition to teaching, have finally seen the pounds come off with an additional 2 inches.
So, although it is painful at times and during my Spinning classes I want to just jump off the cylce, I pressed on through the pain, and saw some really good results. With that being said, I told myself that today was going to be a day of laziness, I have decided to put a cap on “laziness” I am going to “rest” however, will be in Spin tonight then I will teach my class.
          Thanks for letting me share!

        • I have never measured myself.  Maybe I should not sure if they will give me more incentive or not.  I can tell I have lost inches since I have lost 48 pounds and have gone down4 sizes. This took 2 years to accomplish this, but at least I have done this and have 71 more pounds to go.  I have been very good about exercising every day last week.  I did not exercise Saturday or Sunday, but I was careful about what I ate.  I exercise on the elipitcal machine.  Usually 30 minutes and get 3 miles done. I enjoy this because I can put a DVD in and that helps me stay motivated and try to go longer and faster.   A few times I have done the WII fit step aerobics, and then the eliptical so I end up doing 45 minutes.  Normally I weigh in on Wednesday, but because of Ash Wedneday and Fat Tuesday we are weighing in tomorrow as a family.  We have a contest just for the sake of being called the Biggest Loser for one week. So we will see who is the biggest loser tomorrow.
Good luck to everyone and keep moving!

        • Smiley,
I prefer measuring to weighing because the tape measure doesn’t ‘lie‘. :) I do both, but don’t concern myself much if the scales fluctuate. A gallon of water weighs 8 lbs, so depending on when you weigh, if you are retaining, etc. it can be different every day. You are doing great! Hope you can glean some helpful tips from the posts in this group. I measured the other day and have dropped another inch of my hips. woohoo!

        • Osolean is a product that burns fat - just like water hydrates. When taking Osolean and eating properly, you lose almost 100% fat instead of half fat, half muscle like you would without it. That is the simple version. :)
If you want to read more you can go to [Link Removed] where it explains more. There are several clinical trials that validate the results, and one that is being printed in a major nutrraceutical journal. But of course, what matters most is if it will work for you, right? The company has a 100 percent, empty container guarantee - for six full months. So the bottom line is, if you aren’t happy with the results, you get your money back. You can also get your money back by getting referral bonuses when you share it with others (who also have that same guarantee.)

Hopefully that is enough info without overwhelming you. Feel free to ask more questions if you want more info.

        • Okay, changing subject here (although I support everyone in their quitting! Just think what you could do with that $$$ if you put in a jar! Another way to motivate yourself would be to charge yourself the cost of a pack every time you smoke one... and then put THAT in a jar..for someone else to guard for you until you give it up. Then go out and do something special for yourself like a Spa or Massage!)
