God is looking for some disabled and handicapped people, who were born with a birth defect. Disability is ’ a disadvantage, inexperience, inability, disqualification, and affliction‘. A handicap is ’ a barrier, limitation, and shortcoming‘. Inability is ‘being powerless.’

What is your excuse for not going forth in what you should be doing for the Lord? I am not speaking of the things you have become accustomed to doing. Not the same old thing, but stepping up to the next level of service that God has for you. We have not been called to stay in the same place, at the same level. God is looking for some disabled (inexperienced, disqualified), people to step up and move forward in Him. The world would have us to believe that we have to have certain degrees; we need to know the right people, and we need experience to do anything. However, we are not talking about the work of the world, we are talking about doing the work of the ministry, for the Kingdom of God. When you work for God, it is not about your ability...If you are going to depend on your ability, God cannot use you.

We are to depend on God...He guides us with His Spirit....He equips and anoints us to do the work and to bear fruit. He is not interested in whether we have a degree. He is not interested in whether you speak with fancy words (Paul had no enticing words of man’s wisdom). He is not interested in whether you know the right people (Jesus went to a Samaritan woman, who was a sinner and an outcast...He told her who He was, and immediately she went and told the city, resulting in souls coming to Christ).  He is not interested in what you have (Jesus told the rich man to sell all he had, give it to the poor and then come and follow Him). He is not interested in your past (Paul was a persecutor of Christians, Moses was a murderer, Abraham was a liar and a coward, Jacob was a deceiver and David was an adulterer and murderer). These are just a few examples.

God is not looking for your abilities...He is looking for someone who knows they are disabled. He wants to use those who have to depend on Him for everything they do. The Lord is looking for someone who will know, “If God does not do this, it will not happen.” “I have a birth defect (sin) which is deadly. I was born with inabilities (I am powerless without God). I am disadvantaged and disqualified, unless God qualifies me.” It does not matter what man thinks or says. It does not matter what it looks like with the natural eyes. “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.” “Greater is He that is in me, than he that is in the world.”

It is when we realize that we are weak and powerless without God, that He can do mighty works through us. It is when we realize that we must trust God, not ourselves, that God use us.

“But God hath chosen the foolish things of this world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; and base things of the world, and things which are dispised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things which are: That no flesh should glory in his presence.” I Co. 1:27-29

“And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God....And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.. And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and power: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.” I Corinthians 2:1,3-5

God is looking for the handicapped, the disabled, the outcasts, the weak, those who are despised and rejected...God is looking for those who will lose their will in His, who will not trust in their abilities, but in God’s ability. We are limited, but God is not.

“For with God nothing shall be impossible.” Luke 1:37
