We are currently working to promote our line of women's comfy clothing, logo accessories and many one of a kind piece of jewelry and belt buckles. Our new site should be online in the next few days for some early testing as we continue to add the pictures of our products. We would like to develop a web presence in the most cost effective way.  Any advice, ideas or critiques would be greatly appreciated.
      Thank you,
      Gayle Forster

        • I just thought of one after some sleep.  As a member,I noticed this site offered drawing and perhaps this may be just a starting point.

        • A website first, then have it submitted by a website company with key words, and also, I know this sounds cliche but get a link to Ebay and promote items there too.  The point is to drive traffic to your site.  More customers, the more chance of a sale.

Im not an expert on this but its a start.  Also, make sure your site is functional, easy to use and catchy.

        • Our site should be up early to mid-next week with a new look.  Someone hacked into our site months ago and our last web designer made a mess on the site.  Our pictures got distorted and everything was jumbled.  We are almost ready to launch the new and improved site! We hope that it will be easy to navigate.  You all will have to critique us!  Thanks for your ideas!

        • Here are some other ideas for getting your Website known:   - Promote it in the signature line of your emails.   - Some have had success on Twitter. You need to get followers first, then post a different promotion each day (a giveaway, coupon, etc.)   - Get involved with discussion groups and include a link in your signature when you post (where allowed).   - WAHMs (work at home moms) have several online networks. Many of them trade links. If you‘re open to having a resource section on your Website, they will put a link to your site on theirs in exchange for a link to their’s on yours.

        • Have you considered marketing locally through local non-profit festivals?  Be a vendor and let people see your stuff up close and personal.  Everyone is so focused on the internet these days that they forget that there are actual human beings out there that like to see and feel things!

The festival season is coming up and it is a great way to get our there and be seen. Doesn’t have to be the Indy500 or anything - but a small local group can give you lots of exposure to people who will then go out there and recommend you to their friends (online or in person).

          Just a thought!

        • Hi:

I may have the perfect solution for your advertising needs online. If you don't have website I can help create a very robust online presence for your business even without one. You can target your customers by zip code, either 3, 10 or 50 zips of your choosing. You can post photos, videos, and coupons (you create them for customers to use) If you do have a website we will link it to your ad and vice versa.  You also get 100% trackable results so you know where your customers are finding you on the web! It is not pay per click (which is outrageous if you have checked into the costs). No set-up fees, no contract, you can go month to month. Change any of your info anytime you'd like. No additional costs ever! Best part is the price, it is literally pennies on the dollar compared to any other form of advertising. Not only that but reps with our company earn community cash incentives we can spend with our advertisers only !! So the money comes back to your store. Please feel free to contact me if you would like further details. I look forward to your reply.

        • Contests are a great way to bring others to your site. You have two choices. You can run the contest yourself on your site or you can find someone with a blog/website related to what you sell and offer them two products, one for them and one to giveaway. Usually as part of the contest, they have their readers visit your site and choose a favorite piece.
