What are you going to do today to get the most of summer’s last hurrah? Before you know it, there will be less green and eventually it’ll be dark right after the workday ends...

I am going to head to the animal shelter, pick a dog and take him or her on a long walk before it gets too hot.  Then some shopping and this evening I’ll take my own dog Bella out for a short walk (that’s all she can handle.

Need some ideas for last minute summer fun, without leaving town or using a vacation day?  Read on for 6 suggestions:http://fabulously40.com/blog/id/six-for-sunday-how-to-enjoy-summers-last-days-without-leaving-town-21162

        • Hi Tuesday, today is kind of a catch up day outside. I am going to try and mow the lawn. It has rained much of the week on and off and it is very tall. I also think a nice nap is part of the picture. I cleaned the inside along with laundry and made a bunch of food yesterday so no real need to cook today, just heat and eat. The toe is getting better.

        • Sunday is my lazy day.  Walk the doggy, take a little snooze, maybe putter in the yard.

        • Not much, Tuesday. Summer is not my favorite season, though I have friends who love to get together. One friend had to have a hysterectomy a week ago. She’s our hub of summer gatherings. And this year I’m in the process of moving for a “my life change“. I’m packing and making decisions on what I will want to keep or sell. I will be doing another drive out today, to get my move expedited to be out of here on time for the divorce agreement. Lazy happy days of summer didn’t land here this year, but we’ll talk about this subject next year and see how it’s going. ;oD  I do expect it will be a different story next year at this time.

        • Hi Tuesday, well for me I’ll be resting up and watching some movies to prepare to go back to work in the morning.

        • Oh yes, next summer will be different for sure, Tuesday. ;oD  I am moving before summer is over, so the ending of it could hold some pleasant surprises.
