        • I love having friends and family over for dinner- entertaining them with cheeses, wines, music, and a scrumptious meal.. nothing is better than laughter over a table filled with those you love.

        • I enjoy running. I love to get outside and clear my mind with a jog around the neighborhood.

Although my time has minimized over the years, I have started getting up earlier to fulfill my running desires.

Running not only clears my mind, but it gives me energy throughout the day and free’s me of all the worries and problems I have/do encounter at any given time in life. (not that there are always problems, but sometimes things come up that you cannot get off your mind).

Sounds wonderful! When are we getting together? ;)

          Angie,
I admire your passion for running, that’s wonderful. I’ve heard from others how it clears the mind.

        • Hi joyfully,
We lived on St. Thomas in Frenchmans Bay. I totally understand how you feel. It’s been really hard adjusting back to stateside culture. My husband’s job transfered him to Grand Cayman four years ago..I didn’t really care for it there either. We bought a house in Savannah last summer and now my husbands job has transfered him to Puerto Rico so I’m in the process of moving there.
Where did you live while there and where did you relocate to?

        • Stick with your goal joyfully...like I said before, focus your intention on your desires,... being a midwife.  You have already put it out in the universe just keep working toward it.

        • These days my passion ... is learning about wine.  I took a trip to San Fran/Sonoma County this summer... and have a greater appreciation for wine.  Before I just used love to drink good wine... this summer I made trips to the wineries in the Northfork, Southhamptons, NY area.  But it was when I went to Sonoma County that I realized how much I wanted to become a part of the industry.  And now I have a 5 year goal happy

        • Oh wow, I have so many passions I don’t even know where to begin.

I think “mothering” is one of the top ones.  And I don’t just mean being a mother to my own children, (who are mostly grown) but mothering any kids who cross my path who need a little attention, mentoring, a place to go, a shoulder to cry on, someone to talk to, whatever.

Baking and cooking are passions with me,though at the moment I’m very burned out on cooking as a profession!!!  Time to move on to new things and just cook for my friends and family.

Gardening and needlework I’ll lump together.  Both are hobbies that I could not survive without. They keep me grounded and sane. :)

And I’m still a little bit passionate about my husband of five years.

        • Tell you of my passions?  Well I was born and raised in San Francisco. The Arts were always my passion and I used to make a living doing that until marriage and children. Mothering is a passionate blessing I adore having. Not just my own but our home is a safehouse for runaways. I got motherin to spare! Teaching is also a passion that I have begun to notice I want to do. I have been volunterring; now I want to do. I like people. I adore children and all the beauty they carry around with them like it’s nothin! I love to laugh. Who doesn’t?!

        • I am a passionate person. Joyful, I am passionate about homebirthing too. I swore with my last hospital delivery that the only way I’d go back to a hospital was in an ambulance. I LOVE homebirthing, but don’t think I am called to be a midwife. I am passionate about my family, and my relationship with God. I am passionate about health and wellness. I am passionate about dispelling ignorance and telling the truth, even when it is too incredulous for people to believe. I love to educate and share what I have learned.
I am passionate about horses...the wind in my hair when I am riding, the sanity that smelling horsey smells gives me (weird I know!)
I am passionate about the things I don’t like as much as I am passionate about the things I love. :) Those are things I don’t need to get started on though. LOL
I love reading but I don’t do it often because I can’t put down a book until I am finished with it, no matter what it is about or how boring it is.
I am passionate about being successful, and still having balance. I yearn for the day when my husband will share some of my passions.
I love this site, and the fact that we can encourage one another as we peer out over the hill called life. We can look back and learn from our experiences, share them with each other, and help one another as we forge ahead into unchartered territories with a shared wisdom that will give us all an advantage that our parents didn’t have.

          Sharing Hope,

          Dee Dee

        • I am passionate about spending time with my family and friends.  My boys are older now and spend more time with THEIR friends and they work as well.  I like to hang out with my girlfriends..and I have lots of them.  Each one is different and I do different things with each.  I like to entertain and play hostess to events and my own shows or parties.

But I am mostly passionate about God.  Without him....none of the above would be possible.
