        • Call me crazy and unhip..but I love tough names for cute pets because it is so contradictory.  I know of a store where the owner has the cutest french bulldog named Frank !

But, if that is too simple, the other day at the petting zoo, we met a piglet named Lipstick ! She was the cutest thing.

Keeping with your interests ( I peeked at your profile ), how about Singer ( after the sewing machine ) or even “Crochet“,  “Clay“, or “Crafty“.  From the music perspective.....Nashville, Rascal ( as in Flats ), or Beethoven.  Since she is yours and you probably do so much for your family, name her something that represents YOU !

Unlike your children, I have NO creativity ( can you tell ) > LOL

CONGRATULATIONS on your new friend ! Enjoy her !

( And please let us know what you go with  - is that really her in the pic ?  )

        • How about Martini? As in Martini Cock-a-tail? A little play on words there. My kids have a turtle they named Steve. Our dogs are Petunia and Ruby. The cat is Nugget. But my favorite pet name they chose was Ditto.

        • I am so glad you liked my suggestion :) You can always call her Marti for short. My Dad had a cockatiel. He was a wonderful bird. His name was Jake!
I have a friend who raises parrots. My first encounter with one of her birds was hilarious. The bird was in the shower with the water running. She told me to go look at her. When I pulled back the curtain, The bird said ” OH! Get out of here! I’m naked!” I about wet my pants laughing after I got over the shock!

        • Both of your suggestions are great, I am just confused. I will keep your names on my list. I have never had so much trouble naming a pet. I love when a name means something, I named my first son after my grandparents’ last name, it was Mikels, so his middle name is Mikel. My grandparents loved it. Thank you, Michelle

        • Yes, they are a delight!  Good luck in the naming of your little birdie!  BTW: When my son was a toddler I brought home a beautiful yellow canary. His name was Asberry....which my son pronounced Asbirdie.  Have a great day!
