        • My preferred medium is mosaics, but I rarely take the time to create them. So, I opt for simpler, less messy mediums such as creating with scrapbook papers. The group pic is one of my creations in scrapbook paper, Christmas ornaments. If I can get pics of other projects I will post them too. But I typically give away my projects before taking a pic!

I’m picking up doodling with my fabulous colored pencil set, working on some greeting card ideas.

If I get brave, I might post pics of my brand new skill (I use that term loosely), knitting!

        • I scrapbook. I have a book for each of my girls growing up, and one for each of them done for the school years. I just wish I had more time to do it.
During the winter months I will crochet too. I have an afghan I have been working on for 4 years now, and I’m still not even half way done. LOL
I need instant gratification when I work on things, or I get bored with it easily.

        • Just reading about your creative projects inspires me to keep going, ladies! I can’t wait to see more pics!

Bernadette, I love playing with the little pieces of glass! I need to finish a project that’s been sitting around for over 2 years. Then maybe I can feel justified in starting a new one.

Termite are you making the afghan for anyone in particular?

        • I, too, have photo albums of my kids from birth to graduation, scrapbooked, not really, but I started them way before scrapbooking became an “item“.  Im still not quite finished with them.  I saved all of the cards they received from occasions through their lives and cut out items from them and pasted in the albums.  Also, their birth jewelry and first hair clippings, things like that.  Wow, I should really finish those things up.

I love to paint, I really suck at it!  I love floral arrangements and candle making and bath soaps and just about everything crafty.  Im in the process of cleaning out my basement that is filled with florals, wax and the like.  I have no time to get involved with all of that.  I have found what I truly love to do and that is bookkeeping.  The major plus factor is I get paid every week and very well!!

          xoxo

        • Doreen, I have seen some really cook scrapbooks people have done, it is a real craft! I hate it, but I love the papers!
You should paint if you love to paint, whether you think you are any good or not! Eye of the beholder, you know! ;o) Probably not a good idea to post pics of your bookkeeping, your clients could get a little upset! hahaha!

Lu, you will have to show us how you use the china for cards! I’ve seen broken pottery shards for jewelry, but never tried it! Cool!

        • When it comes to art or art forms, lately I’ve been making collages. It’s therapeutic. I cut out pictures of people, places and actions that I hope to participate in.

I also like photography but have no real direction.
I have also been cultivating or reinventing my green thumb.

And youre right about the bookkeeping.  LOL...they would not appreciate that one bit....lololololol

I love to shop for handmade crafts. I am so fascinated by the quality and of the time an individual puts into making THE perfect item.

        • I'm not at all artistic and look at the lovely things all you ladies make and it fills me with awe but I do like decorating as in actual house painting and I'm very good at it – I hate the upheaval but when I'm having to concentrate on a huge wall or window frame I zone out and my best ideas come then – my other hobby don't laugh is ironing ........ I love ironing and I'm also very meticulous I have a notebook when I iron and make notes that spring into my head ...
I would love to take up photography and I'm actually looking for a camera ......I then bore you all to death with my pictures.

        • Good advice, Annie! I’m having to tell myself “Just Do it!”

Vicki, sounds like your choose your activities as a way to chill out, which is what crafting and arts do for us! I wish I could say I had the gift of ironing! but, alas, only as needed!

When you get that camera you must promise to post your work here!

Bernadette, what kind of pens do you like for inking? I’ve never worked with artist’s pens. I see that Sharpie has new colored pens, I might get me a set of those.

        • My medium is fabric!  I love color and texture of fabric.  I have recently fallen in love with embroidery and monogramming.

I have combining different colors and textures to make fun and unexpected gift items.

Here are some things I have made for my friends and family recently and had such a positive response, I’ve started to post items on Etsy for sale and will even be featured on VeryJane.  I’m so excited!
