I found this article on here while enjoying my coffee. I pretty much follow it except I work out harder than suggested.
      how to lose 5 lbs

My daily food goal is about 1900 calories divided into 6 meals. All meals have to have a carb and a protien.

      What’s your plan?

        • Thank you Vikki for getting this thread up this morning. I’m in the last time zone so by the time I get up, have a workout and get to the computer it’s lunch time for lots of our members.

I decided that I would not diet. I’m exercising and eating in such a way that I could make it a life long habit. At my age the days of crash dieting for a few months for an event are over. I eat a lot of vegetables, 1 or 2 servings of fruit a day and I pay attention to the balance of food I’m eating; protien, fats, carbohydrates. I’ve found that certain foods bring on hot flashes and just generally make me feel bad so I’m staying away from them. One thing I have yet to do is mix up my exercise routine a bit to get the extra metabolic boost. I like the routine I have with the walk, the weights and the bender ball. I’m in a rut with it but I’m not bored.

Joe noticed this morning that my leggings are fitting better and my weight is dropping gradually but steadily. This time I’m not in a hurry because it’s a lifelong plan for me.

        • I stole my son’s P90X DVDs and am exercising like a mad woman! It’s great...something diffferent every day and I do what I can (not the extreme exercises) I have an exercise buddy that works with me and we go to my church’s gym every morning at 6:30 - do the P90X work out- shower and get to work at the law firm by 8:30. I am also doing Weight Watchers (have learned this is a lifetime eating plan - NOT a diet) What a difference a buddy has made for me! I have lost 31 lbs and dropped from size 16 to size 12 so far! That’s my plan and I’m sticking to it!!!!
