        • What a sad day that was! the ill fated flite was deemed piolet error ( if my memory serves me well ).

Stevie Ray Vaughn was gifted in so many ways!
When he got clean and sober, he was a very humble man, and you know his music was from the heart..

God DEFINATLEY has a GREAT rock n roll band NOW!

But my favorite belongs to Led Zeppelin and ‘kashmir‘. I have developed other favs but LZ is my ultimate fav.

        • SRV was great! There are so many great artist it’s hard to think of just one.
          Led Zeplin
          Marshall Tucker Band
          Doobie Brothers
          Jimmy Hendricks
          Janis Joplin
          The Who
          The Eagles
          just to mention a few.
I like todays music and artist, but something about the 60’s and early 70’s music can’t be replaced.

Being only 44 (yes only!) I grew up in an era that is between era’s. I’m not really part of the 80’s even if I sported the 80’s do. I don’t really belong to the 70’s. What groups were specific to my age group? Van Halen (David), REO Speedwagon, Ted Nuggent, Journey (don’t stop believing was my class song).
But having 2 older sisters and a diverse mother I love so much more.
Roy Orbison- is he country or rock?
          Janis Joplin
          Bruce Springsteen
          Aerosmith
          Humple Pie
          Rod Stewart
          AC/DC
I could go on but I will just say that I am so thankful for music. It soothes my soul....

Lenny Kravitz is in the top 5, and if you ever get the chance to see him play, do it. Incredible show.

Beach~ Billy Joel’s awesome! “Bottle o’ white... Bottle o’ red....”  Nothing like watching billy Joel & Elton John dueling pianos. WOW. :)

          Here’s a song for ya~

So many faves.. from classic legends to classical guitarists to Anne & Nancy to a few country legends. Who can pick one?
          So many move me.

For you Stairway to Heaven Fans~ Check this out.. :)
One of the best classical versions I’ve seen.. Enjoy.

My absolute all time favorite singer is the late, great, Marvin Gaye. I mean, I love all his music!!

Journey was my band back in HS, Vikki. I mentioned before that I would still bear the child of guitar player Neal Schon to this day!

And on the VH/Sammy or Dave battle-love Hagar solo, hated him with VH. Diamond Dave was the ONLY lead singer! remember the poster of him looking in the mirror wearing assless chaps?

I am a country fan as well, and my main singer there is George Strait.

I’m not one to listen to oldies, even ones I loved in the past(except jazz and classical.) I love to discover new artists like Leslie Feist, Missy Higgins, Adele. Love indie folk these days.

I can’t pick a very favorite from the Classic Rock era. I loved them all. All have been mentioned here plus more. I loved ELO, CCR, ZZ, the Motor City Madmen - Nugent, and oh yeah, AC/DC. I just bought AC/DC’s latest CD that just came out and have been jammin’ ever since. Every CD in my car is Classic Rock and I take spells. Before I got the new CD it was a week of Arrowsmith. :) It does get me stares when this 66 year old woman pulls in a parking lot with the bass boomin‘. I love it!
