      Hello Everyone,

Unfortunately I live in Texas where there aren’t any grandparents rights to intervene for the better of the grandchild at all.

Maybe I need to try getting in touch with Mr. Perry for him to add to his campaign speech that he is going to change that law and allow grandparents to have rights. I'm sure that topic/subject wouldn't cause him any bad press. haha slap my hand for that  hahahahaha

The reason I am fighting so much for this is for the sake of one of my grandchildren who is 'existing' within environments that are extremely detrimental to her well-being as well as her very livelihood now and in the future. Oh, and yes, I said: "environments". My oldest son and his wife are getting divorced, which they should , both are leading a lifestyle that is harmful to themselves and neither one is too concerned about the influence their actions has on their daughter!!  That's where I come in....but have no luck getting her out of their influence because....*Texas hasn't any Grandparents Rights!!*

I will get deeper into this while ordeal as we progress in the group with both listeners and repliers. :)

Tell me how you feel about this and I’m looking forward to talking with you soon!! heart

      Love it

        • heartI’m in total agreement with you on this we should have rights because in most cases it is the grandparents rearing these babies today being a huge part in the upbringing. I know for me I play a huge role in my grand-daughter’s life, not that her mom doesn’t love her or provide a healthy loving environment for her, but she lacks in quality time with her because she is a working single mother still having issues with the father in helping to provide for the child and spend quality time with her, so I’m here to help with her education and helping her to advance in her academics, social skills etc... I and my husband also supports her financially when needed as well as having more over night visits with us than normal. so yes we do need to be recognized and have certain rights when it comes to our grand children.
