This is one of my guest rooms. I need to add a window treatment, along with some wall decor. The wreaths beside the windows are coming down. The arched window and slanted walls are what’s throwing me. Please post pictures of what you‘re suggesting, if possible! LOL

This is my small project. I’m completely redoing another bedroom. It’s starting up soon!!!

      Thanks ladies!!!

Just a side note: The wall colors will NOT be changing!!happy

        • Judy...I think I would like the shutters more so than window treatments.  The window itself is beautiful.  Personally I like it window treatment free.  Plantation style shutters would look gorgeous.  I have a friend that makes window treatments for a living...and she is good.  She made mine for my dining room and they are awesome.  I am going to drag your picture off of here an email it to her and see what she suggest.  She might could send me back some pictures of suggestions.  She won’t mind sharing since you don’t live here and so forth.

And the other reason I like her work is because she is very very creative and tries to come up with window treatments that are different and unique.  You don’t want everyone else having what you have.  I’ll get back to ya...

        • I think I like regular window treatments in a color that accent the bedding. As for the rounded top I would do a scarf with little hooks and swag it to drape.

I will be looking for pics to post what I’m talking about.........

As for wall decor I usually just go with pAintings that I like and then pickmaccesories to match.

        • Judy did you finish this room? Did you decide?

I was watching Antonio treatment on HGTV and he topped a rounde window with a metal sculpture that had cuts in it to let the light in.... it was awesome looking.

        • I don’t like the window being bracketed by wreaths or pictures because though the window shape is gorgeous, there’s no depth to it, it’s not recessed and there’s no window sill with the blinds. My thought is bracket it to look more recessed, like with shallow book shelves with some trim detail to them that go up to the ceiling, and a shelf below the bottom of the window that imitates a window sill with the same detail trim as the book shelves. And sheers to soften the sides of the window and the blinds that go to the floor.

Just an idea and what I’d want to do. ;oD

        • Hello, I love the window as well as the wall color and I do agree with you taking down the wreaths, my idea is to place three (3) decorative wall scones that will hold a scarf to be threaded through them like I did in my room. For your window one at the top and one on each side and get some material or get a nice scarf length long enough to give the look of the window more depth and add some large tassels or what have you.

        • Thanks Vikki, I would have posted a full pic but the hubby has the room in a wreck and I didn’t want you all to see it lol. But it is a beautiful look for any room. I’ll post the one in my livingroom to show also.
