You know a couple days ago when I first came to this website I felt like maybe it wasnt’ for me. I didn’t really see a lot that grabbed my heart. I decided to start the group Sister’s In Christ because I believe it is my sisters in Christ who have gotten me through so very much in my life. I thought maybe one or two other women might join but tonight when I logged on and saw that 3 women have joined I was amazed and I am feeling so blessed. I value each and every one of your comments and opinions. I was thinking of creating a prayer chain of sorts. My home email is [Link Removed] If any of you need prayer email your request to me and I will create a list that I can put in blog form so everyone in the group can pray for you. If you have something that you want kept confidential let me know and I will put you on my daily prayer list of people that I pray for daily. I am so grateful that God brought us all together

Sassy, Your links have been removed, please consider upgrading to premium membership.

        • This is an awesome group......I lead a womens bible study
group in my church—this site is like having a group all week long...thank you for starting it.

I do have a prayer request, my son who is in the service left today for his 2nd tour abroad. Please pray for him and pray for his wife.  they were not married when he was deployed the 1st time and she is having a hard time—I know that God will get her through this as he got me through the 1st deployment with a total sense of peace (after he taught me how to put my complete faith in him for my sons safety).

I do believe God brought us all together for a reason !

We know they are only ours for a little while and they are yours for eternity. God we know how much you love your Son and of his wonderful intercession on our behalf while we pray. Please put your hands on these boys, please dear Lord if they haven’t found you dear God please save thier immortal souls. For thier mother’s sakes keep them safe. Amen

        • Glad I stopped by today! This is a tough day. I’ve been having a tough time. A lot of good is going on in my life. I have over come a lot and have been over joyed. But....am I in the place where others will understand when I say I feel I am under a spiritual attack? Isn’t that the same as a testing? If I fail or weaken I will lose everything I have struggled to achieve. Nothing material but the chance to regain my life, myself and my self esteme. Tracyo8 mentioned the peace that is gained when you give all to God. I know that peace but I am having a hard time being faithful during a tough period when God has brought me through worse. I still feel the anxiety! Pray that I can find that place in me and relax, please. I thought of reading about the aloneness experienced by John the Baptist or St. Peter, even Jesus when he knew he would be crucified.
Just when I felt God has tought me to trust in him during these tought times I am week, I think because I am alone at this point in my life. Alone but not lonely, still I need a little help.....

        • It is during tough times that we need God the MOST!  Ladybug, know that beyond a shadow of doubt that God is in total control of your life, He knows exactly what is going on with you, He will NEVER LEAVE YOU, NOR FORSAKE YOU.  Do not believe your emotions, but trust in God’s promises.  Cling to God’s words,
“THE LORD IS MY ROCK, MY FORTRESS AND MY DELIVERER; MY GOD IS MY ROCK, IN WHOM I TAKE REFUGE. HE IS MY SHIELD AND THE HORN OF MY SALVATION, MY STRONGHOLD. I CALL TO THE LORD, WHO IS WORTHY OF PRAISE, AND I AM SAVED FROM MY ENEMIES.”
          Psalm 18:2-3

Turn on worship music and allow your soul to soak in all of God’s goodness.  Praise God, even in the storm, and take your focus on your Heavenly Father who is so much greater, so much more powerful, so much more capable of caring for our burdens.

        • What a blessing and May God’s mercies be poured out upon each and everyone of you.  I feel so blessed to have stumbled upon this group.  I have a monkey that have turned into a gorrila and he does not want to get off my back.  I know that God has brought me this far and will not turn around and leave me here without further direction.  My family and I recently had to vacate the residence we were living.  We had one of those rent to own agreements, well they filed for bankruptcy and failed to inform us in a timely manner.  So, we moved unexpectedly and of course, our finances are out of control and seems to be taking us longer to catch up.  I have taken the situation and laid it at His feet, but because of my my human frailties, I find myself wanting to return and pick it up...I know He answers and works in His own time and I am being patient.  Please pray for me that my patience will not run out, but I will hold steadfast.

        • Let us not only pray for each other, but lift up our nation and the upcoming leadership changes. It is so easy to become complacent when we think there is nothing we can do. “The prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”
Let us be modern day Abrahams - Moses - let us intercede for God’s people and beg for God’s mercy.
I think we are all going to feel some of the suffering and judgement that is coming upon our nation, but we can hedge each other in prayer and know that God will listen to our prayers.

          Sharing Hope,

          Dee Dee

        • The video from YouTube is fantastic! It spoke to my heart immediately. Both my fiance’ and I are recovering from a broken marriage. We have the same faith in God and have experienced his love and mercy. I sent him the video because it reminded me of where he and I came from. As we talk about our past, we agree that it seemed God had forsaken us but He was there all the while. He delivered us from that almost unbearble storm and brought two broken hearts together in a beautiful relationship and has restored my faith.  Each day we see God working in our lives—- giving us back EVERYTHING (and more) that we lost in our previous marriages. What a blessing this site has been to me already!  It’s wonderful to see the internet being used for encouragement, prayer and praise.  Isn’t God great????

        • God is great ! and that video really says it all.......that is  an incredible reminder that I needed right now.  I would like to ask for your prayers as I am feeling a bit overwhelmed with life right now and I need to keep my focus on God in the midst of my storm.  It is easy to know what to do and hard to do it when you are in the middle of the storm.  I do listen to worship music all the time to keep me going.

My son is serving in Army in Iraq right now—I have been extremely sad about the deplorable living conditions that he is experiencing and will be living with for the next year.  In addition, he is married now (was not during his first tour in Iraq), so when he is able to call, he is calling his wife as he should.  My head gets that, my Mom’s heart is hurting, he has called once a month so far and his new wife and I are very close so she keeps me posted.  I have been trying to be very supportive for her as this is her first experience with this, so I put on the tough front for her and push my emotions to the back burner.  In addition to all this, my daughter who is 26, married with a 3 year old and 8 month old is dealing with this as her husband is currently away with the Marines, so I have been helping her get through one issue after another every week.  I guess I am just stretched a bit thin right now, trying to be everything for everyone else and not taking the time that I need for me to stay focused on God.  So, if you would pray that I can make that time to spend with my Lord so he can keep me strong through this storm.   I love this site and I think this is what helps get us through storms, having other Christians come along side us when we are not strong enough to go it alone, so THANK YOU all in advance
