My hair is getting quite long now. What is the appropriate length for a 45 yr old woman?

        • I love your hair! Mine just does not do straight very well..... it goes super flat in a quick minute. Is there any layers in it?

        • I have very difficult hair. It’s not quite curly, not quite straight and tends toward frizz. When I’m on Maui it’s challenging to work with and keep looking nice but when I’m on the mainland it looks so much better.

I don’t length should matter as long as your style is flattering to your face. Look at how long Jane Seymour wore her hair long. She’s cut it since but it’s still a long cut and she’s gorgeous. and look at Sophia Loren! Her hair is shoulder length and one of the most classy and elegant women I’ve ever seen.

        • I have to agree with Cynthia.. I don’t think length should matter.. My hair is long, I’ve always had it short but I love it long, the length is pass my bra strap and it takes awhile for it to dry and to fix it but I’m loving it!

I love your hair Vikki, cute as always estatic

        • My hair Is a little above my bra strap, I guess you can say shoulder length. It depends on how long you want to spend on It, drying It or styling It. Mine doesn’t take long at all, about 10 minutes to blow dry and I’m out. I get layers In It and layers tend to make It look a bit fuller when you want It too. But I don’t think length really matters as long as you are able to take care of what you gothappyheart

        • I do have a few layers put into the sides right now, but think maybe will let it grow out again and have it more angled and wispy on the sides, also need to grow out my bangs a little longer..have you tried Ouidad products, Vikki?...Cynthia mentioned it to me and I love it!!..my hair is naturally wavy, just use the Instyler on it for a smooth look.happy

        • As long as we‘re on the subject of hair, I need advice.  I’m thinking of going back to bangs, but can’t decide.  My hair (it’s waist length) looks pretty good when I wear it down.  But when I’m working and have it braided, I look like this—

        • I don’t think age has anything to do with it either.  I have long straight hair.  Have had for years.  I’ve had people tell me I should cut it but I’ve had short hair before and it just doesn’t look good on me.  Plus for me, it’s very easy to take care of.   Why not go to a Macy’s, etc. and have a make over where you can pick a hairstyle and it show’s up on a digital screen so you can see before you cut/change it.  I did that and I looked awful with short hair.  Plus it was fun!happy

        • I have short hair and love it. Am currently growing out color and going natural. More gray than I thought but am willing to wait until process completely finished-then decide. Was getting to hard to color hair with neck issues.

        • I found out over the weekend how much time and effort I’m williing to put into my hair and the answer is, not much at all.   I’m a wash, comb, braid it and go person.  I spent over an hour sunday morning fussing with all this hair to do something different with it.   SOOOOO not my thing.  Long and straight it shall stay.  I’m not cut out for fluffing and curling and blow drying and all that.  frown  Just not where my talents lie.

        • personally I like hair to the chin or abit below.  to me longer hair pulls the face down.  I also think layers that flip up tend to give you an uplifting look.  also think bangs are good.
