frownI mean now really!!! Here it is I fall on their property and not to even seemed too concerned when I had to go to the clinic that (they) sent me to and (their) doctor says I have to be off for some days only to come back in on Monday for some physical therapy and then to be seen again by him on Wednesday, you'd think they'd have a little more compassion for a person who got hurt on the job right? Ohhhh nooooooooo. And then to top it all off here it is I'm home not even able to get up from a sitting position without help nor can I reach down to even touch my own knees and they had the gall, the balls and the nerve to call me today to ask me if "I" could come in tomorrow which originally would have been my off day by the schedule to help out. I was so pissed off just seeing the name in my phone's screen knowing damn well I'm hurting. Then to top it off they are calling everyone because they have no staff to come in to work maybe 1 person per floor, now how in the hell do you expect me to even come in with a sprained back and swollen muscles to do anything let alone work short or shall I say next to no staff at all "hell to the naw!!!" (excuse the ebonics) that just pissed me off to the highest of pisstivity! I mean they care NOT about how you feel or how you're doing they just want to get that money by any means necessary well they won't use me to get it for the next (5) days. Wow!! the world we live in today is so selfish and un-caring, I mean that kinda hurt my feelings, to call me to ask me to come to work knowing my back is messed up are you stupid or just plain old dumb and don't give a damn, I guess all the above. I am truly looking for another job in a different field they can have their promotion and their little pissy raise, that just cut me to the bone, and just like my signiture banner says: "NEVER MAKE SOMEONE ELSE A PRIORITY, WHEN YOU'RE ONLY VIEWED AS AN OPTION" well from here on out they are only an option in my book, I will NOT be used as a dirty dish rag after use tossed to the wash. No Not me! They can as my girls say "KICK ROCK!"

        • Neicy...for legal purposes...I would certainly document the day, the time they called and the gist of the conversation.  If your injuries are under worker’s comp....I would say them calling you before you are released from the doctor is a big no no.  I might be wrong...but you need to double check that.  That might be a violation.  But my biggest advice is to keep all documentation...and document every phone call...conversation...etc.

        • I think Neicy that they are breaking the rules - if someone has been injured at work and then you call asking them to work breaks employment rules - so make a note of time , date and their position.

Sorry your having this hassle and speedy recovery my friend

        • Neicy they are running a huge risk by calling and asking you to come in. You are off on a leave from a Dr they sent you too. If you were to go into work even if you felt great you run the risk of them charging you for the Dr visit along with ruining your chances of any medical help if this goes further.

I just can’t believe they were that stupid to do that. Whoever called you must NOT know any better!

        • I agree with all the ladies.. I can’t believe that they would have the nerve and call you.. The same thing happened to me back in 2001 and when I told my boss what the dr said all she wanted to know was I coming back to work because I was missing the meeting and that I needed to start taking notes.. I told her that the dr has me off of work for a few days, she looked at me rolled her eyes and said “okay fine do what you think is best” I told her I was and that MY health came first.. She just walked away, a yr after that I had back surgery.. YOU take care of yourself and don’t listen to what they say and DO NOT let them make you feel guilty, they are SO uncaring..
I hope you get to feeling better soon..

        • Do document everything, ask for copies of doctors reports for each visit, each pt report and any test that they send you for, if you have to find a lawyer to deal with them.  My friend is going through this herself and was told by the HR department that she wouldn’t be covered due to the MRI showed narrowing of the spine, which everyone gets as they age.  Her injury was caused at work she works in receiving for a local grocery chain (three slipped disks and two of them are split) and even the doctor that they sent her to said it was cause by work.  She is fighting them cause they are refusing to pay the doctors bills and pt bills.  Due to this injury she might have to have surgery.  Also if you do end up having to sue them be very careful of what you do around your house and out of it.  They look for anything to say that you are not injured.
