Today, I was faced with task of going outdoors first of all it was 101 degrees. Second and the most funny..

I had to spot check on one of my employees, which met, dress down from my normal 4 inch heels right? Well, I searched the “wonderful shoe room” and found

       NOTHING!

That’s right NOTHING! I couldn’t believe it, well yes I could, I don’t wear anything but heels.

Unless it is on the weekends when I am the beach.. SO flip flops  are not work attire, I was forced to go in late, waiting for the mall to open.. and low and behold.. I purchased a pair of shhhhhhhhhhhhh flat shoes..

        • OMG, diva, I just did the same.
My job is a bit more casual these days and I find that I have been walking construction sites and RUIN my heels.
SO, I just bought TWO pair of flats. Purple and black.
Which has now lead me to buy leggings.  SHHH it is NOT 1989 but shit, I keep seeing women in them.  I SWEAR to you all that I will NOT look like an old woman.  I will wear all with flair.  (i may need your help)

        • Its okay! I know, i feel sexiest in high heel shoes myself, but the comfort..oh the comfort of flats is so amazing ! And they make beautiful styles now, so I am not worried about not being “in“!

        • Ha!  That’s funny!  I am just like you.  I’m always in heels...even on the weekends.  It feels so natural to wear them and when I don’t, I feel like a little shrimp!  Once in a while I’ll wear flats, but they had better be all that.  My daughters laugh at me because that’s all I wear, but I love it and I’m not going to change now.

My problem is that I have hundreds of shoes in my closet and am frustrated that I can’t wear all of them enough.  It’s a good problem to have though and now with Fall around the corner, I’ll be ready to buy some more.  I’m so excited!

        • I am 5‘9” and have never felt awkward in heels (as long as they are 3 1/2 inches or less). When the ballerina style flats first became popular I thought “how ugly are those!” but now I love them!  I also needed to get a pair of flats for my job because I was going to be on my feet for a long period of time. I still have to have heels on though if I am going out anywhere like to dinner or to a club. ( I know I am 40 but I do have younger friends!) What I want to know is if anyone’s feet are getting “ugly” from wearing all of the high heels?
