    • Get your summer dress out or trousers and be honest about fit - hang them on the OUTSIDE of the wardrobe and treat yourself to some new sweat pants or shoes and get out there - summer will come soon enough and you’ll want to fit in your clothes when you take off the winter layers - so treat yourself - also have you thought of this

    • Well, I got very motivated Friday night.  My legs hurt so bad, so I went and had a soak in a hot bath.  Looking at all that blubber in the tub motivated me to get back on track.

      With that, I’m shutting this computer down and going for my walk.  Grandpup has been gone all weekend, so I have to walk alone.  :(

    • I haven’t been very active and it shows. Took a hard look at myself in the mirror and that was plenty of motivation to get me moving again. ;oP

    • I have not gone near the gym since I started school in October.  I have weights in the corner of the room, exercise ball next to it, yoga matt rolled up next to it.  Yea I just can’t get motivated.

    • Good morning ladies! A Grand Prize of $120,000 is keeping me really motivated and on track. Also, hearing others having amazing results is a great way to stay motivated and inspired. I agree with Vicki as well. It helps to keep clothes, swimwear in site. I love that everytime I try something that was a little snug before is now too big!! I also have a picture of last year’s winner posted all over my home as well for extra inspiration. So far so good.

    • I totally understand! I recently went through a “I hate exercise” campaign. We all know that we have to move everyday. There are many reasons we stop working out, but boredom is a huge reason. Instead of concentrating on what you should do, concentrate on what you want to do. So ask yourself “What would I really love to do today?”

      I recently took this approach and it dramatically changed my workout. I took up ballet, pilates and kickboxing. For all of you who think ballet is easy, just try it, it is kicking my behind! I also added a ton of music to my ipod for the days I am on the eliptical or treadmill. I no longer have to drag myself to work out.

      Good luck and have a fun workout!

      Mary

    • Anne;

      I am  facing the same dilemna and I found an article on motivation, what is truly motivation as part of my Lenten preparation. What stays with me the most is that true motivation is not about not havving periods of time when you don’t feel like it, but that true motivation is doing it any way. Just pondering on that thought has aided me in getting back on track

    • Hi and Welcome, Teri.

      It took me a little longer to gain some weight back and I think my motivation slacks just because I’m not getting out so I’ll Have some vanity coming into play. And then time will go by without notice. Now I want some vanity back! ;oD

    • I do my best to keep the sweets out of reach and put it in my mind that the days I feel my best are the days I work out..which could mean anything from an hour walk outside to 30 minutes on the treadmill to some light aerobic dancing.

    • I like the idea that UK girl had, but unstead of your summer dress, or summer outfit...put on that bikini. Are you ready to hit the beach, are you ready for others to see you half naked? If not, then...Time to Get Busy Mamma!!!

      LOL!! This is actually gonna be a good one for me. Because I KNOW I’m NOT ready to take my clothes off. I want to have an AMAZING summer, and usually that includes being half naked...I refuse to wear a moo moo another year! Ugh!!! I’m just sayin!

      Good luck to you. I will start my workout and weight loss tonight. You start too, and we’ll check in with eachother by the end of the week. I’d like to lose about 2-3 pounds by Friday. You down? Anyone else in there with me?

      Let me know, and we’ll keep eachother accountable. We’ll check in, share light recipes etc. What‘ya think?
