    • I have to LOL, because we have a neighbor who lives below us in our building and she is such a pain to those who has befriend her lol. I knew the first time I laid eyes on her when she moved in that she wasn’t someone I wanted to have any contact with and I even told my hubby the very same, but him tryin to be Mr. Nice guy has now become so annoyed by her lol. Everytime she sees him outside coming in or out he runs to chat with him asking all kinds of questions and telling all she knows about the gossip around the complex, she has been getting on all the other residents that befriend her nerves as well.
I laugh at this because I tried to tell my husband not to get involved with her, but ohhhhhhh noooooooo! He had to me Mr. Nice Guy to her and now it pees him to no end, I see as well as hear her knocking at other’s door asking for things or she’ll sit outside smoking looking crazy as ever in the dead beat cold lol, now those who has befriend her regret it lol, she does speak to me, but I reply very firmly giving her the sense of realizing “I’m NOT the one!” and she has picked up the hint lol, sorry I’m not a bad person and is very cordial, but people like her I really don’t want in my circle lol.

    • Yes, I have a very dear young neighbor who I have been avoiding like the plague.  He is needy and clingy and always wants to “hang out“.  He doesn’t get that the rest of us have actual lives.

    • Yes. My next door neighbor has a dog that she just dotes on and chatters about, and I can’t stand her or the dog (one of those Yorkies, that starts yapping as soon as I walk by their building. I like dogs that bark, not yap.). She asked me why didn’t I have a dog for protection and I said because I’m a cat person, I can protect myself just fine. Try to be civil and say “hi, how are you,” when I see her and keep walking like I need to be somewhere else ... fast!

    • Oh yes .......... so much so I moved in the end it got like I was being spied up on and no matter how you avoided contact she knew I was in and if I didn’t answer the door when she knocked she would peep through the letter box and stand outside the door calling the house phone on her mobile ... had to serve legal papers it was beyond a joke but nothing compared to Vikki tongue out

    • It’s been a very long time since having a neighbor living close enough to have a need to ward them off. Here we “know” people who live miles away that we run into now & then,
      and call them neighbors.

    • LOL @ Kyah!  No, we have the opposite!  The neighbors to the left of us have spoken to us twice.  Once to tell my husband the music was too loud on a Sunday at 2:00 pm.  Another was to tell me that our alarm on the radio downstairs goes off everday while were at work.  After IKE, WE payed big bucks to have a tree cut and removed (part of it was on their house and ours).  They never even said Thank You.    They are so weird, they NEVER say hello, eat sh*t and die, nothing!!  Our friends on the other side of their house purposely always holler “Hey Neighbor!“.  LOL  It seems to me it would be easier to be friendly and smile and say hello than to go out of your way to ignore someone.

    • Tulip, I was worried about my brother’s girlfriend popping up on my door step all the time since she doesn’t work and I don’t either, but my brother does and not there to entertain her. I told him (so he could tell her) that just because we live closer doesn’t mean we’ll be at each other’s house All the time. I thought I was tactful and he seemed relieved I would
not be all needy myself. ;oD

    • Yes..there is a sweet girl across the street who is married and has a child, very nice, but she is always trying to take up my time with idle conversation and trying to get me to go to her church.  All I really want to do is get my yard work done, get my mail and be on my way..hope that doesn’t sound mean.

    • Well I am the opposite.  My immediate neighbour is a Pastor he will say hi and once or twice he came over when my husband was cleaning the car but his wife will literally avoid you not even a wave, smile, hi, nothing.  The husband is so sweet and kind.
