Q & A

Has anyone grown sensitive to hair dyes and other chemicals??? the last year I’ve broken out pretty bad with relaxers and hair dyes...I’ve switched up brands but nothing. So I’m dealing with my natural hair and to get rid of the gray in front I used henna and indigo. I’ve used henna many times but I’m tired of the red color so reading my style icons blog she said she used indigo for her jet black color. came out perfect. It just amazes me how my body became so sensitive to these type of products...anyone else experience that?

    • Hi Samirah,

I’m sensitive to a long list of chemicals and they’ve caused some major health issues. You might want to check out what other chemicals/pollutants are in your environment. For me the accumulation was from petroluem based products to start with and now there’s a long list that will make me ill.

    • Hi Cathie!
I haven’t had any issues since I stopped dying my hair with store bought products or getting it done at the hairdresser. It was just so sudden it took a while for me to get a clue that it was the dye...I went almost a year breaking out when I would get it done. My mom said the same thing happened with her...and my cousin is now going through the same thing. I found an alternative and was really wondering what others had done to correct it!
