    • I went to the Goodwill store today and boy I came out grinning from ear to ear.  I got two blouses that had the tags on them still(CHADWICKS), each for $3.50.  I went to a thrift store and got the most beautiful strap blouse - white with baby blue lining the arms and neck that I know will match a pair of slacks so nicely.  Oh my God, that to had on the tag of LizClaiborne and I paid $4.50.  It did say it was part of a three piece but I was happy to get the one I got.

    • Glad you had such a wonderful experience.

I will on occasion but most of ours here aren’t much cheaper if at all from what I can buy new at a discount store.

    • I LOVE Thrift stores!!  You can get such a deal especially when you have little kids and you buy clothes for them all the time.  If I bought new clothes for them all the time, I would be bankrupt!!

Also, I will never forget when I was a teen, I got a pair of hot pink jeans for only .50 cents! 50 CENTS...I was so happy!

    • I sure do! I used to take my kids with me and give them 50 cents each to buy books and toys. I found a carpet shampoor for $1.00 back then and used it for a good many years.

I Love looking for clothes, purses, belts, old books and old furniture. Last year I found a brand new black leather blazer for $20!

Another fun thing about thrift store shopping is most everyone else is excited for each other over their treasured finds. ;oD

    • I used to, but lately the prices at our thrift stores cost more than a new item on sale at some of the department stores.
